Grandma Chaos: I really like the other flavors, but you can keep the Cheddar. It smells like feet and tastes like I licked an armpit.

Lincoln County MT: Will use camping once the season returns...a bit chilly right now. I usually go vegan when I camp so this will be a good addtion to my choices. (Hubby does not camp usually it's my thing. WHY DID HE MARRY ME 49 years ago now? He did too know how much I loved camping...???) He's fine with my going solo and I'm fine with it. And so we are both happy. I know my camping has turned into a SHE TENT CAMPING or Glamping trips but even in my 70's now I just love it. Getting alone and camping along the river and or lake to kayak on. I don't kayak the river even though my ocean inflatible is pretty stable and I have kayaked it with friends in groups of 4 but not alone. I once got stuck on a sand bar and hubby had to back paddle and took us a 20 minutes to get me loose. I did not dare stand up and step out of the kayak as the currant under would have yanked the boat right away and I would be stranded on the bar and feeling very foolish in deed.) Anyway I usually don't do any meat and little dairy when I camp solo. But do enjoy easy to eat food and now and again hot dish is nice too. Otherwise it's vinegarette on green beans cold salad like, Lots of homegrown tomato's, Rice cakes and vegan...

David Smith: Warning - if you are buying these in Canada: mine arrived short-dated, with only 4 months before the best-before date. We're paying about 4 X retail price to get these in Canada, so the product should at least be fresh! YMMV

Daniel Patterson: The packaging is great quality. I ordered these after watching a cooking show where everyone from USA south Loves grits...

Now, I'm sure these taste great for some, but for me awful!?! Especially the butter Flavour. The plain was too plain and the cheese flavor was blah.

I'm not saying this is a bad product, but that I don't like Grits in general.

only downside is the Price, too high.

in conclusion, if you like Grits, order this.

Rebecca Rochelt: We love grits, instant grits aren’t as good but much easier to make. Also we seem to find them the best price, they are not cheap to get in Canada. These were a ok price, flavours were good.

CJ: It is very difficult to find grits in Canada. I prefer making these instant grits with milk then 1 minute microwave. You can add chopped up bacon or ham and perhaps sauteed onions, along with grated cheese or parmesan cheese. A real comfort food.

Eli: Apparently you don't just get standard grits anymore. Someone somewhere developed a pallet I can only describe as "prison sentence." I remember grits being a flavorless, odorless, colorless and tasteless mush of delicious emptiness you usually pushed back against with some sugar or butter, depending on the weather as well as whether or not Granddad had his morning coffee with a shot of go-juice.

Now you have such an assortment of flavors I am experiencing a sensory overload. Who thought it acceptable to mix cheddar cheese, or god forbid 3 types of it, with what is essentially pulverized corn and wood dust filling? Stop ruining my childhood, bring back the empty flavorless nonsense I grew up with or I'll continue to act like a petulant child instead of just picking out the flakes of dehydrated cheese like granddad yells at me to do.

Thank you to Quaker for bringing back grits, my childhood snack.

that being said I heard a rumor that the Quaker founder used to enjoy laying on a bed made of Parmesan, could someone confirm?

Cristina: I actually really like this stuff! As a Canadian, grits weren't a common thing. Package arrived today safe and sound. I've already had two packets! I like the microwave method. Add extra cheese, and crumbled bacon.

Khristine Jackson: I was born and raised in the Deep South..after relocating to California to work in the entertainment industry...and now a part time Amazon employee.. Grits are a steady staple in my every day and bi-weekly existance.. Lets be honest who recalls when their parents or grand parents would call you to the morning table..lying there on your plate,,"Grit's,Eggs,Bacon,Sausage,Toast or Hash-browns",.? After I decided in 2010 to stop eating Red meat..then in 2016 I ceased upon Fish, pork and Poultry..I knew I must continue with grits, cearel and or oatmeal... Over the years cearels have lost my intrest due to the high sugar count,,Oat meal takes too long to cook and it sticks to your pot's..! Grits in the box are just hard to find..unless you desire "Polenta"..? Quaker instant grit's fit the bill just fine..They fill you up..You can cook em in the microwave,on the stove top..or fill a bowl with hot water from the kettle..? Take your pick.. Arrived on time...and a great value...No trip's to Walmart either.. Enjoy !!

Danielle L.: I really do like grits, but prefer the original variety best. I took a chance with ordering this product because of the value for the money. Others may really enjoy the flavors - there is a lot of flavoring added to the varieties. The butter variety in particular has a lot of butter flavoring, you can see the pieces and it turns the grits a brilliant yellow color. I prefer all-natural, plain and original. So for me, the flavor is a 3 star, but that is just because of my personal preference.

Texture of the grits are fine and they are quick to make. I usually use two packages and quickly can prepare it in the microwave. The original makes a nice breakfast cereal. The other flavors are good to add as sides to go along with other meals.

I gave a 4 star for the presentation too, just because I prefer foods that have less coloring added to them. Once again, I prefer plain and original.
