Sample This: A bit pricier than normal, but we really love it. Have already reordered. We eat oatmeal several days a week, so this is our new go-to product.

Michelle225: We love everything about this brand except the price. It’s available in all our grocery stores but for $3 to $4 dollars more per can. Amazon provided a great deal. My worry was they would be expired or close to expiring but that wasn’t the case. It had a far enough expiration date that made us comfortable we’d be able to go through it all.

Happy Housewife: The product itself (oatmeal) is great, no issues with it or the brand. I have ordered it in the past with no problem. But the packaging from Amazon was unprotected and not safe. Delivered in a plastic Amazon bag, but the box of oatmeal was damaged...smashed and opened on on side. The food was sealed inside the box in a clear plastic bag which could have easily been punctured or torn making it potentially unsafe for consumption. However after inspection it appeared to be in tact, so I will not be returning it. That's why I gave a 4 star rating. Just thought I would call attention it for future food deliveries...maybe wrap the oatmeal box in bubble wrap before placing it in Amazon bag!

SaintMick: McCann's features oats imported from Ireland and I'm not sure what the Irish are doing but their oatmeal is far better than other brands I've tried. The instant version cooks up nicely in the microwave in a few minutes and the consistency and smooth character of the cooked oats is a pleasure to eat in the morning. It may cost a bit more in stores but the quality is very much worth it. A fine oatmeal.

R. Klemens: Good breakfast porridge. micro wave for longer than usual to ensure the meal is cooked through, and not gritty.

jruss42: By far one of the best tasting. I have been buying McCann's for years now from steel cut to quick and easy! However, I have steadily seen the price increase over the years and this latest price is insane! I used to be able to get 2 boxes/tins for the price they selling now. I’d rather just eat Scott’s porridge which is a fraction of the cost and gives more or less the same benefits. Such a shame.

Gregory: bought one to make authentic Irish white breakfast pudding and on its own 5 mins simmer on a hob cooks it to al dente like rice pour in some honey lovely. Just discovered that a small tin of baked beans a one portion of oats mixed is a hot 300 calorie breakfast. Bought 2 more.
One comment on here talks about microwave splatter and is right - you must cover the bowl and so heating them on a hob gives perfect results every time

Kirk McElhearn: I love this oatmeal. I grew up in New York City, and this was something you'd find in specialty shops there. It's much different from rolled oats, because it takes a lot longer to cook (not the 5 minutes it says on the can), and it doesn't get as mushy as standard rolled out flakes. It's flavorful and delicious, and I love cooking this up for a hot breakfast on a cold morning.
