The Pyle PCA1 Compact Mini Stereo Power Amplifier is the perfect choice for your home audio needs. This 2x15 Watt Portable Dual Channel Home Audio Speaker Receiver Box is an excellent value for money, with its build quality, compatibility, and connectivity. The RCA Cable L/R Input allows you to connect your CD Player, Tuner, and MP3 for amplified speakers sound system. Enjoy the best audio/video receivers & amplifiers with the Pyle PCA1.Johnmichael P. Monteith: If you temper your expectations to match what you are paying, this little amp is an amazing value. Sounds quality is quite good and plenty of power for bookshelf sized speakers. If you need to power 8" cones then this is (obviously) not going to cut it. The quality is also very good for this price, but the speaker clips are bound to break if you are are regularly plugging and unplugging speaker wires - so be aware of that going in. If you plan on hooking it up once then you are good to go. If you need this to travel with regular hook-up and tear-down then this will not work without soldering on an alternative.

Chris G.: At first when ordering I was skeptical, but this device does exactly what I needed it to do for my camper. The Bluetooth is flawless and the sound output is crystal clear.

Mike: Good for the price. I have it running a pair of in-roof speakers and it's more than sufficient. I do wish it had a 3.5mm jack though, since I had to order the rca to 3.5mm connection separately. StarTech.com MUMFRCA 6in Stereo Audio Cable 3.5 mm Male to 2x RCA Female

MR S ANAHATA: I have this driving a pair of speakers in the kitchen from whatever's on in the living room stereo system. It replaces a conventional stereo amp which died, and I wanted something much smaller if possible. It fits the bill perfectly and sounds great, though I wouldn't expect studio-quality sound from it. Robustly built in a strong steel case, and internally has proper detachable connectors for everything that plugs into the main board so fitting replacement parts (if available!) should be easy.
My only gripe (and it's a fairly serious one) is that the real output power turns out to be 2.2W per channel (8 ohms) or 3W/ch (4 ohms) which is outrageously less than claimed. But as it happens, It's quite loud enough for the purpose for which it was intended so I'm not sending it back.

Richard L. Baty: The Pyle PCA1 is a single IC (TDA2009A) Class A stereo amplifier which is inverting input to output with a RMS output power into 8 Ohms of about 2.2 watts (36 watts peak to peak into 4 ohms). The Pyle PCA1 has a Capacitor coupled output (goes with class A) and therefore has no output voltage offset. The amplifier is free from the operational limitations of grounding of BTL and Class T amplifers, and therefore can be used with headphones. The amplifier is non-bridged (Non-BTL and therefore free from crossover distortion). The amplifier is Non-Switching (therefore free from digital distortion of Class T). The amplifier does not have tone controls, and if you need them, consider something else. This amplifier performs well under applications which cause BTL and Class T amplifiers not to perform well (like improper grounding). Therefore, the PCA1 has fewer limits when selecting an application.
The Pyle PCA1 has an integral power supply and is in a metal case (2.02”x4.23”x5.64”), with black front and rear panels and is supplied with rubber feet. The chassis is formed by a single piece of sheet metal folded to create the front and rear panels. The front panel has the volume...

isvana: Got this to replace an old 80s era Rotel 20A amp powering some old speakers from a cheapo portable CD player that together passes for a "music system" in our household. I chose this over the other Amazon-reviewer-favorite in this class, the Lepai TA2020 Tripath Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier with Power Supply due to the Pyle having a built-in power supply.
Good news: works nicely, good sound. Nice safe (loud enough but not antisocial) power level.
Comments:
- The UK shippers included a US-UK adapter for the power cable (nice!) BUT it doesn't fit (oops!). The Pyle's mains lead is polarised and 1 prong won't fit the adapter. I had a spare alternative, and once tested OK fitted a UK plug anyway...
- A (presumably US market) minor anomaly was the power switch - up for on. No big deal as there is an indicator LED anyway.
- As an FYI - the unit did not work out of the box until I did up the fuse holder - something to check.
- In terms of design, the main oddity is the trailing input lead rather than a L & R socket on the unit. You'll need an adapter for any smaller input device like a CD or MP3 player.

Bob NJ: I'm borrowing this review from my review of Pyle - Mini 2x75W Stereo Power Amplifier - PCA3 which I bought to replace this Stereo Amplifier. The review encompasses much information of this Amplifier, and many of the qualities of the 75watt one are shared with this one.
Pre-Intro - I come from a family with Ruark Crusaders and Arcam recievers (the best of the best for under $10,000), so when it comes to sound, I'm not the average consumer. I might be harsh, but I demand quality sound.
-----BACKGROUND-----
I got a nice pair of Boston Acoustics bookshelf speakers for my room, and have been going through the process of finding a nice, small amplifier for them. I started out with a Fisher model that had a problem with low volumes, so I ditched that. Then, at a garage sale, I found a superb Yamaha for about $20 bucks. Took it home, set it up, very nice. Would have cost hundreds list price. A few knobs were damaged cosmetically, but functioned perfectly. It sounded great. But it was massive - about 1.5' deep, 2.5' wide, and 8" thick. It was simply too big for the space I was using it in. Also, it lit up like a fire - between the radio indicator, power...
