Roger: Got two of these for our two PC stations to protect our hardwood floors from repetitive chair movements. They are 1/8" thick pliable plastic sheets with rounded corners and slightly bent down edges to reduce catching the edges with feet, chair casters, etc. They are tightly rolled for shipping, but will flatten out when unrolled and placed on a flat surface in a warm area, concave surface down, for a few hours...at least ours did. They give off an odor of fresh plastic for a few days, but we did not find that to be a deal breaker. They can be cut with a sturdy pair of scissors to conform to your floor space. We've had these for a couple months and are totally satisfied. A good product for the money.

Kathy: The matt is great. It is transparent and thick and I use it under bird's cage. It is easy to clean - just wipe off with damp cloth. Really good. I am very happy with it.

Amazon Customer: I have a hardwood floor in my home office. I work from home 5 days a week. I am at my desk at least 8 hours a day. My chair has round metal casters. The contact points with the floor is very small and it was putting extreme pressure on the wood. I started noticing the casters were leaving roller marks on the hardwood floor. I looked for the thickest mat I could find. I purchased this mat and I am happy I did. It is super thick and it is protecting my floor perfectly. I am giving this a overall review of 4 stars because I have to straighten the mat every day. I enter my chair from the left side. By the end of the day, the top right corner will be 2 inches higher than the left corner. I noticed some people commented about the mat not laying flat after they unrolled it after delivery. I didn't have that issue. The day it arrived it was really hot outside. It was super pliable and instantly laid flat on the floor.
