Heavy Duty Hard Chair Mat - Crystal Clear 1/5" Thick, 47" x 35"

Gail: I took some time investigating types of office chair mats before I purchased this. I needed one that was suitable for a laminate floor. I compared pricing, reviews, and type of material used. I wanted durability and something that would look decent for a reasonable price. I’ve had this under my chair in my home office for a few weeks now. I believe I found the best option that meets my expectations. It’s reasonably priced and seems to be holding up well. It moves a few inches as the week goes on but it’s easy to slide it back into place. The only aspect I misjudged was the size - I wish it were 6” wider. My chair sometimes rolls off the edge when I push it back to stand up. In spite of that, I’m pleased with this mat but, gave it 4 stars rather than 5 due to the size and slight movement.

Kerostan carpet-- as good as it gets !! I had a glass Matt before--that Matt broke into a million ++ pieces when I dropped a moderately heavy wrench. on it when adjusting the desk bolts.

This Matt clearly will last well over. 10 years ! In an work at home environment that is used daily.
Heres what you get when you buy this --no more. every 3 years Matt replacement@@@!! Every 3 years. you.will be replacing with all kinds of roll out.plastic Matts. !! Like that??? $$$$ out of your wallet$$$$

I picked this up @ a UPS terminal put it in my 4 door Honda sedan back seat easily!! You can to if needed!!
Cleaning -both Fantastic and mild soap with water do not leave streaks. Fantastic took off a black grease streak from UPS truck floors, mild soap and water worked great for the trial cleaning.

This is 1/5 inch thick -when your office chair goes OFF. this Matt into carpet -its so easy to regain entry onto this Matt. Easy off --easy on!! Does NOT dent or scratch ..yeah --Wing Nut here dropped a large battery charger on this 2 hours after installing...

MikeMike: I did a lot of looking on line and picked this floor protector because 1) it was clear and I did not want the beauty of my floor or the colors in my carpet to be sidelined; 2) the reviews said it was thick and sturdy, and other buyers were pleased that it did not impeded the chair rollers if the chair rolled off or on the protector, and 3) the specs said it would work for both wood and carpeting.
I've had it for a week now and it suits my needs perfectly. Guests have complimented that it does not even look like all the other floor protectors ... they even thought it was glass (which I did not want).
There is a review that says the buyer notes that because it lacks those "pointees" prominent on other protectors, it would be subject to some movement. It did move about an inch after a week's daily use by me. But like the buyer reviewed, I just adjusted it back up against my desk and went about my work.
It is the only clear, thick, durable protector that can be used on either wood or floor at the price point it goes for. Well worth it to me!
