Michael D.: The media could not be loaded.  After a few uses in 6 months the digital display seems to be broken. I have tried taking the battery out to reset and it did not work. I've tried turning it off and that does not work. Something clearly has broken. I have never dropped this.

Laroo2112: On feature that make this a good product but not a 5star for me is the screw on battery cover. On the plus side there is a matching (tiny) screwdriver supplied and it has automatic idle time shut down. On the negative side in a shop environment those tiny screws are hard to keep track if they make it to the floor. The calipers are sensitive and the fine tuning wheel is less than positive in its engagement making it somewhat difficult to hit your exact measurement if you are trying to reset a dimension. Overall I am very happy with my purchase for the price I would not expect this level of quality. The included feeler gauges have a great deal of oil coating and are rather messy out of the bag. Plan on having a shop rag handy when you unpack the gauges.

Justin: Easy to use, feels solid, very responsive/sensitive which produces what I feel are accurate results. I’ve used it for several applications but my favorite so far was measuring for the correct ID to buy the correct hoses to replace all the vacuum lines on my 97 Toyota 4Runner. I just pulled the old hoses and measured each bare vacuum tube on the various parts of my truck went down and purchased a few feet of each, fixed all lines will little waste or leftover hose. It has also been fun going through my box of random bolts and finding ones that work bolts I ALWAYS lose in the process of doing just about anything. You’ll use it more often than you think! The feeler gauges are a nice touch making it a great value for the money.

T. Don: update:

Sometimes, on/off button does not work. Also, not keeping zeroed. Depth measurement is hard due to uneven surface on that end (on the front). The plastic film on the display was not to be peeled off in the document. So that is bad.

I just received it. Thanks to Amazon, just 1 day delivery!
The caliper has all metal body. Nice feeling. The screen has a thin plastic film that was attached so well, I didn't know it was the film, and saw some scratches and even appears a broken corner. Almost return it, until I tried to peel it off and it did come off!
The slider is smooth from beginning to almost near the end where it stuck. I think that's good enough for me. I probably don't use the end.
So far, always return back to 0 for me when I close the jaws. The inside jaws close completely which is nice.
The buttons appear to be metal. Hard and appears to be very durable.
A very minor negative about this is the dial is very loose, maybe 1/32" gap or more, along the rotation axis.
The case is strong, but has no padding. The case hinge is just folded plastic, prone to be broken.
I will update it as I use it. But if I don't come...

Nick Mullins: I was very happy when I opened the box. These have a great heft to them and my initial impression was that they seem to be very well made and fairly accurate. (There is a reason we call them guestimators, LOL) Seriously, they weigh a lot (a good thing) are easy to read and very clear. They come with a spare battery, instructions, and even a micro screwdriver to take the battery cover off. Mine also came with a set of feeler gages but I haven't mic'd them yet to see how accurate they are.

The one thing they came with that I wish they didn't is that chemical smell almost everything from China comes with. My suspicion is that it is the box and I am going to leave it open a few days to air out and see if the rectifies the situation.... nothing I would take a star off, but just a little gotcha. These aren't Mitotoyo's but they are 1/5th the price and for most home gamers, are a worthy addition to your tool chest.

AnTony2: While not the quality of high-end (expensive) professional calipers, this caliper is a great value for someone needing reasonably good accuracy at a low cost. The all metal construction is rugged (for a caliper) and the action is reasonably smooth. I use these calipers for wood furniture construction. The specified +/- 0.001" absolute accuracy is more than adequate for my needs, and the convenience of easily switching between metric, decimal inch, and fractional inch readings is very useful. For my woodworking applications, the fractional inch readings to 1/128" resolution, with automatic conversion at integer 1/64, 1/32, and 1/16" points, is really convenient. I have checked the absolute accuracy with precision machinist's calibration blocks, and the worst error that I measured was 0.0015", which I consider very good for my needs, but may not be good enough for someone doing tight tolerance work.
I like the screw-on lid for battery that does a good job of keeping dust out of the battery compartment. The included LR44 battery (equivalent to A76 or 357A) is readily available at low cost, so battery replacement is not a problem. The plastic case is nice, but nothing special, and...
