Suzan: It paid for itself in recyclable returns from my soda cans and saves space. It shipped quickly and is very sturdy. I use it without a mount though its a bit cumbersome that way.

TXLexi4: I bought this as a little extra gift for my husband for Christmas, however, the metal is a bit weak, and it is bent to the right a bit, it still works so I am not going to take it off my wall, I just keep trying to bend it back to the left.

Jack: Totally void of quality. Side arms attached by very loose rivets that catch on the base when trying to bring the handle back up to load another can. I had another one like this that was made with much higher quality. It also had a larger capacity - which this one failed to mention that it is the "small" size. I'm not saying don't buy it but you may have to return it for a better one.

Catfish:
Well I ordered and recieved this can crusher back in September of 2010. I had read several negative reviews that said it was kind of flimsy. I had also read several very positive reviews. So, I decided to go ahead and order it. Well I crushed approximately one full garbage bag full of cans worth before I had my first official problem.
My first thoughts:
The reviews that stated it was flimsy were right on. There are two colored parts to this, the grey parts are the crushing component and they are fine, no issue with them. The bottom half even has a bottle opener, go figure. However, the black moving arm parts of the crusher are indeed flimsy and have considerable sway. The foam padded handle was a nice touch and assured that I didn't get sore hands while using the crusher. However on Oct 19th, the handle broke. So I got about a month's use out of it before I had my issue. Haven't returned it, and don't plan to, I am going to jerryrig a solution to this.
A note on the seller, they were fantastic. However I would not recommend the product.

M. Warnock: I had one of these in Calif that I mounted in my kitchen in my old apartment since I collected a lot of cans to cash in for money. Out here in Texas the crushers are hard to find since they don't give much per pound for cans (.44 cents/lb last time I took some in!) and people don't really save cans out here I guess. So I had to order this one on-line thru Amazon. I mounted it on my garage wall and it works just as good as the one I left behind for the new tenants who moved into my old place.
The trick with these things is that you need to squeeze a dent in the center of the can before putting in the crusher - which makes it a whole lot easier for it crush down. If you stick in there whole, then yeah, it's harder to crush down. 16 oz cans need to be slightly folded a bit before putting in the crusher so you can crush it down. Make sure to slightly hold the cans in with the tip of you finger at the bottom of the can to keep it from popping out.
24 oz cans just need to be crushed with your foot - they ain't gonna fit in!
Hope these tips help. Apparently based on a few reviews here, a lot of folks really don't know what they're doing and are...
