Assembly: Putting it together took about 20 minutes. It was pretty straightforward. Required a 7, 12, 14, 17mm box wrench, a crescent wrench, a utility knife to cut the hose. One misstep I made was installing the cylinder upside down on the first attempt. Make sure the cylinder air ports are facing up.

Operation: It absolutely destroys intact cans. Partially crushed cans also get crush, just not quite as compact, also about 5-10% of partial cans will hang up on the plunger, or stick in the frame. It's a factor of how twisted the can is. Most of the time, poking a stuck can with one finger is enough to get it loose. Maybe 1 in 100 partially crushed can will squeeze behind the plunger in such a way that you need a screwdriver to dislodge it. I found a single bar clamp was enough to hold it in place on my work bench. When you hit a rhythm, I'd estimate you can crush 40-50 cans a minute.

Compression: I had a couple 55 gallon trash bags of partially crushed cans. Crushing each 55 gallon bag filled a 5 gallon bucket.

Corey C: Product seems to work well only have used it for about 5 cans so far.
Assembly is a guessing game.
The ports on the cylinder should be placed on the top or it will cause assembly issues.
The air port needs to be installed before the mufflers or you will need a deep well socket to tighten it.
Like someone said in another review the quick connect port is tight to the frame and makes the connection difficult. I didn't have an elbow so I spaced it with a washer but its still very tight.

mitch culpepper: Put this together and crushed about 100 cans in a very few minutes. It crushes cans as fast as I could feed it and press the button. Cans are crushed flatter than you could possibly crush them manually, either by stomping on them or using conventional manual crusher. It crushes unblemished cans as easily as dented ones and squishes them thinner than you could by jumping up and down on it repeatedly! I rarely give five star reviews on anything unless it really impresses me or performs beyond expectations and this one does both!
