Are you looking for the perfect dehumidifier for your basement? Look no further than the Pro Breeze 50 Pint Dehumidifier. This powerful dehumidifier is designed to cover up to 3250 square feet and features a humidity sensor, auto shut off, and continuous drainage hose. Not only is it incredibly efficient at removing moisture, but it's also designed with convenience in mind. Its wheels and carry handle make it easily portable, and the built-in 24-hour timer allows you to set the desired room humidity between 30%-80%. JulesJules: It has improved the quality of the air in the house, in our opinion.
It might be the placebo effect but, after just 2 days of running at the highest setting, there was a perceived change in the air.
Upon installation it was reading 65% humidity, after a day it read between 53% and 56% and continues in that range. Not having taken humidity measurements prior to its use I cannot confirm this empirically. I might get a hygrometer to have independent readings.
In terms of the impact in 'perceived' air quality:
1) I don't feel as cold as before.
2) weirdly, the air 'tastes different'. Difficult to quantify, but it doesn't have a slight 'tang' like before. Even if it is psychological, I appreciate the change!
3) One of the children noticed an improvement too. Easier to breathe was the opinion.
Whilst the rated maximum humidity removal is 20L per day, I am getting about 4L per day. Presumably it would rate higher in a sauna!
The product page from the manufacturer claims a 5.5L tank capacity. I filled the tank manually to mark the water levels (Dyno Mobile labeler) and think 5.5L is optimistic (closer to 4.5L before it starts to cover the handle)....

Andy: I'm really happy with this unit and it's pulling moisture out of the air daily, maintaining 49-53% humidity, which is down from 64% and I'm sure the house feels warmer with it.
I live in a 4 bed detached house built in the late 80s and we were getting daily build up of condensation on our double glazed units (from the 90s, most likely) and we've started to see the sealant getting black mould appear.
We dry clothes downstairs on a rack and in the condensing dryer plus we have 1 bathroom without an extractor, so there is little suprise in us getting condensation BUT this little unit seems to be doing a great job at managing the humidity. You CAN hear it, it's not silent, even on night time setting but I have this running on our landing and then open all the doors in the daytime. Obviously you can turn it off at night and just run it through the day.
Overall, really happy I went for this unit - it's comparable to many others and slightly cheaper when I bought it. Would I buy this one again? Yes, I would unless I was feeling flush, then I'd go all in for a Meaco.

SeaJay: I bought this to replace an old Aldi dehumidifier , used in a barely heated conservatory which suffers from condensation in the colder months. It works well, does it's job , think it takes a little longer to clear the moisture than the old one It also works in a colder atmosphere...being a compressor type , some don't !
The newer Premium model has a directional vent , which would have been nice...this one just blows from the top., but at £30 more it's a matter of choice. Fairly lightweight and easy to move ., attractive design.

Aquila: I wanted to get a large dehumidifier device, as I had a small one for a couple of years (not so good and costed £45). Currently, I am drying most my clothes indoors( have a garden and washer-drier). Indoor smell changes during the wet days, and some small patches started appearing on the bedroom. Had a full house renovation 3 years ago, with underfloor heating and all. ON THE FIRST 5 HR I CLEARED ABOUT 2L WATER, AND HAD NO CLOTHES DRYING OR SHOWER RUNNIG WITHIN THAT GAP. I am recommending this product to my friends and will buy again to send it to my mother abroad. ! There might be other products better, however I am confident to say that this purchase with accidental coverage is the best investment for this season.

Sarah: I am a huge fan of this. The touchscreen is extremely easy to use. I love how well it works and how efficient it is. It works better than any other dehumidifier I've used. It's quite and the led light gives it a cool effect!

Richard C. Kelly: My unit failed within the first year. The coils would freeze over.
But ProBreeze promptly replaced the faulty unit.

HalK: This dehumidifier performs well. Relatively quite, even at the higher fan speed. Rollers make it easy to move around on our hardwood floor. Rated at 4 stars because the bucket that collect the water does not release easily from its operating position and thus is a bit difficult to remove.

Amy HoehAmy Hoeh: I started to notice that my doors in my house were sticking. Then my electric bill increased in one month. Called the a/c tech and yep, it was my humidity. It was 88% in Arizona!! With central air conditioning running pretty much 24/7, the a/c unit has a built in dehumidifier so the fact that I was very close to 109% stumped the a/c tech, his supervisor and the owner of the company. After checking the coolant amount, my drains, my filters, the vents in the crawl space upstairs… they were stumped. We *think* it’s because I had my air purifier directly under my thermostat. But it’s been there for 6 months so we can not be sure that was the fix. The only thing working is this dehumidifier. It beeps and turns off when it’s full. The humidity was so high that it was even curving a VERY large mirror in my hallway (see pic 1). I hope that it will straighten out after I get the humidity down a little bit more. (In the 40% range would be absolutely appreciated!!). I’d love to be able to use the hose that comes with it, but I don’t have the correct setup to utilize the hose. Maybe in a different home, but not this one. I need it to do exactly what it’s doing and as of today,...

W6wayne: I have been looking at getting a dehumidifier for a while, but deciding what is required and how much to spend kept stopping me, then I came across this one with fantastic reviews and a good price, I have been using to dry a recently plastered room and also laundry and have been very impressed
