Primula Iced Tea Maker: Create Delicious Infusions at Home

I live in a pineapple: We needed something because we were on vacation and found HTEaO and loved their teas. None in our area so we went online and ordered their pitcher tea bags. This pitcher works well. We add 2 tea bags in the middle insert add hot water and let it steep. We then add ice. So delicious!

sandrasemsandrasem: This holds a gallon of liquid. Although it is quite large, it can fit on the refrigerator door. I have had this pitcher for 2.5 months now and thought I should leave a review that may be helpful to others. It is light weight when not filled and sturdy. This pitcher of tea lasts me around six days. When it first arrived, I had no idea what I was doing when it came to the amount of loose tea to put in the filter. I read another gentleman 's review that said 70 grams would be good. Well I was being cheap and decided to go with 50 grams which was too light of taste, then I tried 60 grams still to light. I agree with him! 70 grams of course loose tea was the sweet spot! If you don't have a scale, I threw it in to a liquid measuring cup and it was approximately at the 1 cup line. I brew it over night and sometimes 24 hours. I like a lightly sweetened tea. After it was dark enough then I micowaved 1 cup of water with one cup of sugar. Stirred till dissolved and then added it to the pitcher. The tea included in the picture was also purchased on Amazon and makes excellent cold peach tea. I also purchased the gallon size Lipton tea bags to also use but will only attempt that after this...

K. Cuthbert: I have been using this to cold brew green tea. It works perfectly for this, as the mesh cone is well designed. The pitcher fits in the refrigerator door, as advertised, and I like that it's a gallon size, so I only need to make a pitcher every two or three days. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because when pouring a glass of tea, the spout sometimes sends the tea out too wide and I end up with spills. I learned to pour slowly to avoid it happening.

Dani Heart: Usually you have to sacrifice either beauty or functionality when purchasing a product such as this, but not this time! This pitcher does it all! It's absolutely beautiful with it's shapely curves and sheer peek a boo body that entices your guests to sample whatever deliciousness you have made within . The color accent is the perfect amount of pizzazz to go in any kitchen. It is very practical and functional too. You can use it without the tea bag strainer for any drink, or you can actually make tea hot or cold brew in it. Win win. 1000% recommend!

K Griffee: I really like the fact that this can be completely disassembled for cleaning (pull out the diffuser, unscrew the top, unscrew the handle/lid). I almost returned it because I thought my refrigerator shelves were adjustable (they're not) and I didn't want to store it on the door. But, I've gotten used to door storage.

Only big adjustments we've had to make are:
Remember to add some warm water to the bottom of the pot (instructions say to wait 30 seconds before pouring in boiled water) to protect the container. Honestly, we've forgotten a few times and the container has been fine. It's much safer then the bormioli glass pitcher that broke when pouring in hot water.
We have to remember to pour the tea into our 1/2 gallon glass tea pitcher when it gets low so that I can get a new batch made and cooled to drink. Since this is so big, I won't order another one since I keep juice on the other door of my fridge and don't have anywhere else to put it in the fridge.

I have not tried to wash this in the dishwasher. It seems that it would hold up, but dishwashers are notoriously hard on everything so we just handwash this. At least I don't have to worry about broken glass...

Amazon Customer: as long as you realize that the handle can also be removed, it is easy to clean. Comfortable to hold and fits well in the door of the fridge.

Anna M.: This jug is large, which is what I was looking for! It has a sturdy handle that makes it is surprisingly easy to lift. I don't find the spout works all that well though ... the liquid doesn't pour in a nice tight stream but rather more like a wide waterfall.

D: Good quality. Easy to use. Very large size. Taller than a milk jug, so make sure you have the height room in your fridge for it. Super good quality all around. Very impressed with the product. Highly recommended if you like cold tea as it makes a massive batch.
