fishface: Previously had the 34oz Bodum $20, which worked fine but had some issues for our household, which eventually came to fruition
We have a busy household, and some clumsy people. My concern with the Bodum is that many people found it difficult to pick up and awkward to use. The glass does seem a little thin as well. I thought it may last 6 months or so before it would get damaged, to my pleasant surprise it lasted about a year, but last week the inevitable happened and it got knocked over and shattered.
Time for a new one.
This one has several good points for us. The rubber base makes it far more stable, nice large wooden handle to grip, it holds more, pours well and the glass is slightly thicker.
Hopefully this survives longer.

Karen: This a great coffee maker. We love it. We've had it well over two years and it continues to be both beautiful and work really well. It's glass so obviously you have to be a little careful, but it's not exceptionally fragile And the stainless steel filter has held up perfectly. I read reviews from a few others that theirs fell apart quickly. Ours remains perfect after almost 2 1/2 years of regular use. It took a little while to realize that the rubber bottom really grips the surface it's on, so don't expect to slide at all when you put it down. Overall, this coffee maker was exactly what we had been looking for, and it continues to work perfectly for us.

Jessica: Disappointed when I opened mine to see no reusable filter! Just the glass jug.. nothing else. Need to return.

Robert D: If you love coffee as much as I do, you likely have more than just an automatic coffee maker in your kitchen. Along with a good burr grinder, I have the requisite automatic, a French press, an old-school espresso maker, and now, this Primula Park Set Pour Over Coffee Maker.
We generally use the automatic but on special mornings, such as when we’re having a breakfast of fine pastries from our local bakery or some scratch-made delight we make at home, I’ll hear the wife say, “Do you want to make pour-over coffee?” YES!
I grind the beans fresh (of course) as I boil a pot of water and use a 16 ounce Pyrex measuring cup to pour about a cup of the hot water over the filter and into the carafe to warm them up. Then, I empty the carafe as the pot of water remains covered over low heat (I find about 200 degrees F is optimal). I insert the removable filter in the carafe. I load six scoops of medium grind (a healthy tablespoon each) into the filter then tamp down the center. I pour just enough water over the ground coffee to saturate it through then let it bloom for about a minute (a step my automatic doesn’t do). Then, I fill the Pyrex cup two cups at a time and pour it...

Natalie C: Pros: The Primula Pour Over Coffee Maker doesn't add a 'paper' taste to coffee. It is faster to brew a pot than the single cup pour over system that we were using.
Cons: Sometimes the grounds and water form a seal around the top, so we get a small amount of coffee siphoned outside the pot. LIfting the filter to break the seal seems to work.
The neck is a little narrow when it comes to washing the interior of the pot. We got around this by swishing a dish cloth inside.

Masnor: I purchased the Primula Park Set to replace a broken Bodum poor over. I like everything about it, except the permanent filter. While the Primula carafe is much larger than the Bodum, the filter volume is smaller. So much smaller that it limits the poor over process because it quickly fills to the top when using 50 gr of coffee (for about 26 ounces of coffee). There is barely one half of an inch from the coffee to the top of the filter. It works, and I expect some readers will think that slowing down the poor over is a good thing, and I would agree to a point. But this slow down and lack of space is a bit annoying.
Would I recommend it? Yes. It is attractive, stable, and the handle is great. If you don't make coffee with more than 40 grains of coffee or you don't mind the idea of multiple poor overs with ground dumps in between, then get this Primula. I will continue to use it but will likely grumble every day about the filter design.
I would recommend that the filter be redesigned to hold enough coffee to utilize the entire carafe plus plenty of poor over space.
