Amber: Nice variety of colors, very easy to use. Can put down thin washes or build up color with ease. I love all of the colors here - you can create very sophisticated combinations, from bright to muted. I imagine you could paint anything at all with this range of colors.

IdahoMommaIdahoMomma: My picture of the paints is the 8 paint colors but I wanted to show how well these paints hold up. My boys school is big on art projects the pictured paints is a year of constant use in 2nd grade (thus the mixed colors). These paints hold up better, produce more vibrant color and are affordable. They are a win.

Michelle Daley: Love the paints and being able to receive a set living so far away. Wowwhee. I am a spigeon disappointed as I didn't get the colour names included in the pack. I discovered they are dye based so won't suffer time, the colours fade. Being not pigment based they don't match other colours and I am finding them difficult to work re: colour comparison. Unless I find an artist that uses them, it will be difficult regarding colour matching.

Leena M.Leena M.: I've never painted before, so I thought I might start with these because of all the good reviews. I was very surprised at how easy it was to use. I learned some new techniques along the way. The brush held up even through my two kids painting also. If you're new to watercolors or even if you're professional, I think this is a very good set. The paint is easy cleanup with a bit of warm water.

G. LucasG. Lucas: The paints are really great BUT they took a month to arrive! I just wish they were available in the UK but could find nothing like them here. The wait was worth it though - but if you’re expecting to get into that tutorial anytime soon you will be disappointed. I contacted the seller a couple of times but they seem to have no control over the delivery timeframe. Great little paints - great price.

Mrs Glynis Bright: These were recommended by an artist on YouTube. The colours are really good and as they are semi moist very easy to use. These are now my go to watercolours.

I often like to try out new mediums and lately been wanting to try the cheaper ones, I heard about Prang Watercolors from an artist I follow on instagram and decided to look it up myself and was kind of surprised of how cheap they were. Yes, I am very well aware they are targeted mostly for school kids but these watercolors are really worth the purchase if you compare them to Winsor and Newton cotman ranges they are as vibrant and smooth as them.

I AM LITERALLY SO SHOOKED! Seriously don't judge them because of their cheap-looking packaging the brush that came along with it was also of such high quality felt like I was using a professional grade synthetic brush such as the Holbein series brushes. The paints are so easy to work with they aren't chalky when you rub your hands on the paper. I would highly recommend this to beginners who don't want to spend so much money on supplies and also to professional artists who want to get better with their techniques and color theory.

worth every penny I bought another set will defs buy more int the future!

Medici: Wow! Mit den Wasserfarben hätte ich auch gerne in der Schule gemalt. Die Farben, die wir benutzen mußten, können mit diesen Dixon-Prang-Farben in keinster Weise mithalten. Satte, wunderbar leuchtende Farben, die sehr gut vermischbar sind und sich auch nach dem Mischen nicht absetzen o. ä., wie es bei günstigen Aquarellfarben durchaus üblich sein kann. Nach dem Trocknen werden die Farben auch nicht „kreidig“, sondern behalten ihre schöne Leuchtkraft.
Der Preis für die 16 (!) Farben ist mehr als angemessen – auch oder gerade der, den wir hier in Europa trotz Einfuhr aus den USA bezahlen müssen. Die Farbpalette läßt sich durchaus sehen und es gibt für alle Farben eine warme und kalte Palette – auch nicht selbstverständlich. Zum Skizzieren und „Rumspielen“ mit Farben ist dieses Set prädesteniert, und es gibt keinen Grund, es nicht sofort zu kaufen.
Der Kasten als solcher ist weitaus weniger schwer oder sperrig als es auf den Bildern aussieht. Man kann ihn bestens in den Rucksack fürs Aquarellieren im Freien einpacken. Ab sofort bleibt mein kleines Set der deutschen Nobelmarke daheim, denn deren Blechbüchse ist zwar stabil, aber auch entsprechend...
