Kade: Kids love these.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I did this for my friend she loved it.

VictoriaVictoria: When I first pulled the gel stick acriss the paper, it appkied similarly to crayon, thouh it is much softer. Then I finger blended, and there was *some* merging of colors. Then I wet my finger tip (multuple times) to finger blend. It was like an explosion of creaminess in both texture (feel during use) and color blending. I really like them. Took pics but can't seem to upload. Will try again later.

SamSam: I realize these are not quite what I was hoping for as I don't have the skills to produce something beautiful from a flat, chapstick like crayon.

When manipulated with a brush and water, or your finger tip, these do produce  more pleasing results.

✯  I do really like the fact that these can give a very watercolor like look without water when blended with your finger.  This makes it practical for use on the thinner paper you'll find in journals.
✯ The metallic sheen does not rub off, so they stay metallic even after being manipulated.
✯ The gold is a bit too ochre for my liking, but the rest of the colors are very pretty.
✯ They show up on dark paper; however, water dilutes the color to the point where it leaves behind more a sheen than a color.
✯ The longer the color is left on the paper, the harder it is to move with a brush.
✯ They don't lay down consistently, leaving behind a crumbly streak when swatches.
✯ In shape and texture, it really does look and feel exactly like a tube of Lipsmackers.
✯ Without a tip, I found it very hard to control where the color...

Barnowl13: Like creamy crayons. Haven't tried them properly, but had a quick try and found the Gold to be a true gold that mixed easily with a wet brush but had trouble get the other colours to mix - have to have a proper look at them. Sorry this is a bit of a confusing review

Amanda Read: I know these are made for kids not like the Gelatos that Faber Castell make too. These are a very good replacement for those gelatos which are very highly priced. Ive used these with gelatos and cannot honestly see a difference in the use of. The only difference is they are not permanent as the gelatos are. They need a sealant if your going to preserve your craft work. I can say they are amazingly soft and easy to use. They blend beautifully with Caran Dache Neo watercolour crayons, Inktense block colours and other gel type crayons. The colours work with fingers to blend, sponges and a hint of water, brushes and all kinds of possibilities are endless.
I love them and they are just part of my stash of gelatos without worrying what quality I have. Perfect if your budget is running a little low after buying EVERYTHING you need to create mixed media art.

Sherri L. Picoski: Haven't had a to use this as much as I would like. Have used it once and like the results.

toolgirl40: These are a fun medium for random creative projects. I wanted to start experimenting in my journaling, and I make my own cards and paper crafts, but didn't want to invest a huge amount of money...and I'm glad I didn't. While they're fun and the colors are vibrant, I'm not really in love with them yet. If you use it dry, on dry paper, then add water to it with a brush or your finger, the lines don't blend away without risk of adding too much water and degrading the paper. I've watched tutorials and it looks like they'll be better if I were to gesso the paper before, but I don't know if that's a step I'd take just for my journal - maybe for my cards. While I'll use them just for my own silly stuff, I wouldn't repurchase. I also got a lovely full set of Staedtler Karat Aquarell crayons and I like those better.

dgtips: Bought these to go with my more expensive Gelatos. These are metallic and seem to be made of the same materials, just a lot cheaper!
Very happy with them, they are soft and creamy and can be used in a lot of crafts including rubber stamping. A great Faber Castell product.

robert price: Purchased this item to use for mixed media work. I have used the sticks for colouring embossed backgrounds for cards.
They give really good results and are very simple to use. Haven't used them for mixed media yet but don't think they will disappoint. Very creamy consistency and easily blendable. Would recommend to anyone in the art and craft world.
