James CadyJames Cady: I had a single piston slime inflator that lasted about 7 years. It worked fine until it died one day. So I decided to try this 2 piston inflator. It works well. Brings my 265/70 r17 KO2's from 15psi to 40psi in about 1 min each tire. I have inflated all 4 tires back to back with zero breaks inbetween tires. It gets a little warm. Nowhere near as hot as my single piston pump got. I keep this in my truck tool box for airing up after wheeling trips. I think if you have 35's or smaller, this pump is perfect. If you have 37's or bigger this may be a workout for this pump. Especially if you have E load range tires. All in all, def worth the money.

MonkeyTaco: I did quite a bit of research into cheap compressors to air up after off-roading adventures. With 32" tires going from between 15-18psi for the trail to 32psi for the road I wanted something that could handle all 4 tires without overheating.

Sadly, on a hot day, this will only do 2 tires from about 15-32psi before it overheats. However on a cool day it will do all 4. My trade off has been only airing down to 18-20psi so it can get all the tires back up to 32psi for the road.

For a budget compressor that attaches to the battery (so you don't blow a fuse) I think it's pretty great.

Trade-offs for being cheap - the gauge on the hose isn't very accurate and reads low. It's not a matter of IF it will overheat, it's WHEN (for smaller air-volume tires it's probably fine). The hose is pretty cheap and I don't think it will last very long. The included adapters are pretty crappy. The case it comes in is also flimsy, though it does keep everything together.

Even when it doesn't overheat it gets REALLY hot, instead of setting it in the engine bay I always put it on the ground.

Positives for being cheap - you can get 2 and not worry about...

Olgun: I’ve been using this unit for almost a month now, but occasionally, mostly just for topping up air in tires. I’ve found the compressor does overheat too soon & struggles to pump in air ..!

Steve White: I bought this to inflate the tires on our RV as it had a 30-foot reach and looked like a fairly sturdy unit. The carry case is a great feature in which the unit and all the attachments fit nicely. It is one of the quietest inflators I've used and gets the job quickly. The inline gauge is accurate and I am very pleased with the purchase so far!

Fraken: I have air bags and an air hitch on the 5th wheel and this works well.
July 2019-: ok I have used this very little, mostly for the air ride hitch which takes little pressure. The compressor just quit working the other day and being past any warranty dates, or return time, I took it apart. I found the armature toast, it had melted the solder and now not enough power to start the compressor. The price of a new armature or a rewound one far exceedes the value of the unit so it's just pennies a pound now. NOT a heavy duty unit as the description states. I don't know what to suggest these small 12v compressors don't have a lot of life in them but will get you out of trouble a few times, something to think about.

Vivek G: I am a person who believes in doing a thorough research of products before purchasing them. Before purchasing anything, I would research all the available options in the market, how they function, their differences, pros and cons, reviews, and then decide on the final product that suits my needs. After that I also do a price research to find where can I get it cheapest but I don't purchase from unknown websites.

One fine day as I was about to pay a visit to my grocery store, I noticed the low tire pressure warning on my dashboard. I checked and saw one of the tires quite deflated. I was not at all comfortable driving even to the nearest gas station for inflating the tire. That is when I felt the need for a tire inflator. Moreover, I love travelling and do a road trip almost every month. The tire inflator would come in handy whenever I am on my road trip.

My requirement was a tire inflator with very good reviews and that can work from my car's 12V power supply and which is fast - should not take more than 3-4 minutes for one tire. I did not want the one that works from car batteries as I was not comfortable opening the hood and tempering with...

Michael G. Capshaw: My lifestyle includes 2 boats on trailers, a landscaping trailer, wheelbarrows and bikes, let alone your usual vehicles. Inevitably, it seems that a tire always needs pumping up when you are about to use something. Since the trailers are often parked far away from electric, I needed a quality solution to keeping air in tires. The air tank that I carried with me was OK, but had limited capacity. My friend had a small inflator that plugged into his car's 12v outlet yet it took forever to pump a tire with any size up. After researching my options, I purchased the Slime 40026 from Amazon. It is very simple to use, hooks up to your vehicle's battery terminals with some nice heavy duty leads, hence you don't have to worry about blowing a fuse in your car or truck by having a plug in. The unit is quiet and best yet has about a 30' of length hose with a pressure gauge right on the end of it, that makes it very efficient. You can inflate a large tire very quickly. All of this fits neatly into a carrying case when you are done. I have shown the Slime to two of my boating friends and both bought one. Trust me, spend the extra few bucks for this unit and you won't...
