The CLAM Quick-Set Escape 11.5 x 11.5 Foot Portable Pop-Up Outdoor Camping Gazebo Screen Tent 6 Sided Canopy Shelter with Ground Stakes & Carry Bag is the perfect choice for your next outdoor adventure. This gazebo offers easy setup, high-quality construction, excellent customer service, and an attractive design. It features a large interior space that can comfortably accommodate up to eight people and fits over a standard-size picnic table. The taped roof panel provides waterproof protection, while the mesh screen and extra-wide skirt keep bugs, flies, mosquitos, and other pesky insects at bay.William J TempleWilliam J Temple: Awesome design. Easily setup. Used a small buddy heater inside and it kept the warmth easily. Only issue we had was with the plastic stakes. There were only six stakes with the tent. We used them on the inside to hold the Clam Shell in place. Luckily we had another six stakes on hand for the guide lines. The stakes used on the inside of the Clam Shell broke when trying to remove them. The outside guideline stakes also broke upon attempts to remove them. The stakes, both the new ones with the Clam Shell and our older ones, were all plastic. We think the ground, which was wet and clay like, was not willing to release the stakes easily. I have since ordered a set of military style aluminum stakes, so staking out the Clam Shell should no longer be an issue. This was the first time using the Clam Shell since purchasing it over a year ago.

mr D: The green turned to a faded brownish colour.
It was not in the sun more than 72 hours Total when we noticed it changing colour.
If we wanted brown, we would have ordered brown. Other than that, works great.

Dubear KroeningDubear Kroening: EXCELLENT dome screen tent. BEST in class and has all the features. EXCEEDS expectations.
The first one we had was a different name brand and lasted a couple years, it was a good name brand but was over $300. THIS replacement is much better in every way.
*The fabric, grommets, zippers, velcro, and even the stakes are high quality. The six strings come with smaller stakes for extra wind protection
*The ATTACHED wind and rain flaps are a huge upgrade and bonus! Others have invidual panels that need to be put up by attaching to the tent with velcro. SOME, USUALLY only 2 have windows (so there can be ventalation when the protection, comfort panels are up). These panels have a window in EVERY panel and thus no matter which way the wind or rain is coming from you'll be able to open windows. The quality is notable with small seams fitting over the edge of the panels. There are panels for the doors too. All panels just need to be rolled up and tied when not needing them. Then to use just unroll and velcro down the ones you choose.
*The door has two quality zippers, one for the screen layer and one for the wind and rain panel. The zipper can be unzipped from the top or...

Manon DesrochersManon Desrochers: I watched a lot of YouTube review of this product & it is very convenient. I’m 5’1” & it is difficult to pop the roof up as I’m too small. I need to use a stick long enough. When you first use it it is stiff & more difficult to pop the side & roof but with only a few time (3), it is easier. It is a bit on the heavy side & it would be difficult for me to put it on my roof top, my husband does it for me.
The side panel are very nice for privacy on campground or to protect from wind or rain.
For those of us living where mosquitoes ruins our evening this is the product to get. I highly recommend this product.

Tmaci: This tent is awesome! Our very first time using it we experienced heavy rain with high gusts of wind for an extended period of time. The tent did not collapse in the rain or the wind. Very little rain came in and only because we had left some window shades open to allow wind to blow through. We love the zip up panels. One thing to note is that when you “tie down” via the side hooks, you may need to remove the tie down to lower or raise the panel which is no biggy, but something to remember if you need the panels down to put them down before tieing off, or vice versa. We do need a stool to bring the roof down as we aren’t the tallest folks around. A pull cord would be perfect and we will find something to attach for ease of take down. We do plan on buying the rain canopy for the roof as I know we will be sleeping in there when we attend festivals, etc. A high five to Clam for making this so easy to set up. I sure hope this tent lasts us for many, many years!

TjoeTjoe: I bought this for my raised deck (8x10), on 2nd floor of my house.
I had been looking at getting a retractable awning with attached bug netting, but that ended up getting very pricey (between $4k and $6k), and then finding that awning dealers were no longer selling the bug netting (probably getting damaged when the awning auto-retracts in higher wind.
This $200 tent has become one of the best purchases in many years for me.
This 6x6 tent fits perfectly on my 8x10 deck. The 6x6 is really the dimension of the top framework. The expanded sides (that bow out from the tension rods) actually measures close to 8x7.
I first opened it up in my living room to get acquainted with the deployment. Then I closed it up and took it out to my deck. It was nearly as easy to set up in those cramped quarters (due to the side of the house and the railings) as it was in my living room.
I really enjoy sitting outside listening to sprinkles land around and above me - but I don't like getting wet from them. As long as the wind isn't blowing with the sprinkles, this tent keeps me dry. Even a slight breeze is okay as the water has to work a little hard to get through the...

Kay tea: Watch a video on how to set up and fold down the shelter before you open the bag. Everyone saying it came "backwards" or inside out clearly didn't watch the video. It's not really intuitive either but very simple once you've seen how.
To get the tent up and functional is literally two minutes. Maybe a bit longer the very first time because it comes with the flaps zipped down and you have to unzip at least one side of the flap to reach the pull at the center of the walls. If you've got a chance of wind, staking it down on the corners and/or putting ropes off each center pull would probably be a good idea. I bought a set of carabeaners for the center pull ropes so it's easy to put the curtains up and down without having to undo the lines each time.
Do measure your car before buying, make sure you've got a long enough, straight spot to keep it see traveling. It fits sitting on the center console in our car, with about a foot to spare from the end of the trunk to the dash. So we were calling it a bit close.
A tall or long reached person is an advantage for pack up- so they can reach around all the fabric. Reusing the fabric ties the tent comes bound in (in the...

Tammy DornTammy Dorn: First the good, we love this clam quick set pavilion tent. Set up is quick and easy. Lots of room inside, the solid walls have windows. The tent is well made, zippers, velcro fasteners all great. We bought the optional tarp floor, so much cleaner. It is waterproof as long as the roof does not collapse. The zip down solid walls are wonderful. it has to be staked down by the wall pull out handles which pass through the solid walls. Added climber clips to the stake ropes to make it easy to disconnect and reconnect the stake ropes.
The company says it can be used as a regular tent for sleeping with the optional floor insert. We had lots of rain in the past week, two nights ago heavy wind gusts with a little bit of rain. The wind collapsed the roof which filled with rain and then the inside of tent leaked. The indoor outdoor carpet and floor mat were wet. Plus the wind continued throughout the day.. after trying an 8' 2 by 4 which did not work. I ended up putting the old sun umbrella inside the tent weighted in place with a heavy pail of rocks. Once the umbrella was up the roof no longer caved in. It would be impossible to sleep in this tent during a rain/wind storm. In my opinion...

BigFamily: This is one one the nicest pieces of camping gear I’ve ever bought. We got the one with the side curtains built in. My only complaint about the curtains is that they can’t completely detach. Kinda wish they could. But I like that all the curtains can drop down and give you a very private space. And if you get the one with the built-in floor, you could absolutely use this as your primary sleeping tent. In fact, it would be ideal for that. It keeps rain out very well when the curtains are down.
My only complaint is that it can be miserable to repack into the carry bag. It’s definitely a 2 person job, even just to get the zipper closed. But that’s mostly due to the complexity of what makes this a really good product once it’s set up.
Can it be set up alone? Absolutely one person setup. Not sure it’s as fast as they claim, maybe if you practice and also if you’re not including the time it takes to secure it down with stakes and guy-lines and all. But none-the-less, it’s pretty easy to set up and can absolutely be done alone.
