Like the other reviews that say don't let the red light fool you, they're right. Mine does it every now and then but always charges! I like the length of the cord, makes this product very usable! Not too many options to run off a Nema 10-30 outlet so this is great!

I like that it was no frills and seemed to just work... but after several months it produced an error and was completely unusable. Vevor was polite and reasonably responsive, took about a week of back and forth with overnight email responses to arrange the return.
They had me ship it back to China and had a new one sent from the US. We needed a charger, so bought a different one in the meantime. Now I have a new Vevor charger for which I have no use. I told them I'd prefer my money back, or even a credit for other products. They aren't set up for that.
I can't recommend it. This is the 32A portable one.

Hobbyhobbit: I purchased this as a secondary EV charger at my camp. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for this since it would only be a secondary charge station. Admittedly I am pleasantly surprised. Worked right out of the box, no errors and the quality is OK. It’s very light weight, and I don’t it would last long exposed to the elements. The APP you use to control the settings is rubbish, but it gets the job done. The included instructions are terribly written in poor English, makes for a good laugh. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the Vevor charger. It works, doest get too hot, the cables seem decent. Good value for the money. Would I use this as my primary EVSE level 2 charger, No. But as a light secondary charger at my camp it fits the bill perfectly.

Good cord length, solid construction, reasonably visible and legible display. After wiring my L14-50 outlet and & verifying it was properly grounded, I plugging in the unit, and the Red LED lights up (!) Checking the manual, "Ground Fault" is indicated. Hmm... Take pictures, contact customer support. After two e-mail exchanges with Tech Support half a world away, they ask "does it charge the car?". Let me see... Yes, indeed it does! It seems to function normally. It powers up initially at the 10A max rate, you then have the opportunity to press the button to set the rate for your circuit. It remembers the rate set if unplugged from the mains, and will not allow fools to change the rate while plugged in by casually pressing the button. I can now fully charge a Pacifica PHEV 18kWh pack with the unit set to 32A (on-board charge manager tops out at ~26A, 6.6kW) in just over two hours. I just wish that Red LED wasn't ON when the J1772 plug wasn't plugged in! Four stars out of five for the manual failing to properly describe the conditions that cause the RED FAULT LED to illuminate. The unit itself is a great value.
And, for you other tecchies out...

This item works as intended. It does exactly what it is advertised to do it is easy to set up and plugs into a 110 or a 220 volt outlet. It comes with both cords. I use it primarily on 110 V and it charges at a slow rate of 1.4 kW per hour and at 12 amps. It takes a long time to charge your car you get about 2 mph so if you leave it in overnight you wind up with 16 to 24 miles of range charging it on a 110 plug at 12 to 14 Amps.
I use it primarily when I am at a place with no near by tesla or ccs charger. It helps top off the car while you sleep. For the price it is very good, does what it should and would work after on a 220 volt plug.
The app is easy to use once you get it sorted through the App Store. The brain of the charger needs to have access to wifi to communicate with the app. The app shows you charge status, and gives you access to program a start time, end time, manually start or stop charging and shows you status. It has a long, seemingly very durable, relatively flexible cable (25 feet long plus 3 feet at the wall outlet).
For the money it is an excellent item. NOTE: to use it on a tesla you will need a ccs J1774 to nac...

This charger looks well made and solid. The cable is thick and long, long enough to reach past one car if you have cars two deep in your driveway.
Works perfectly with my Chevy Spark EV in both level 1 and 2.

geruml: I like the fact that it plugs into a stove/range outlet. On my factory 110V charger it took 7 hours to charge my PHEV. It charges now in less that 2 hours.

Alexandra Langlois: Very disappointed. I liked it, worked very well for 6 months. Then it stopped.
