The Poolmaster 28300 Big Sucker Swimming Pool Leaf Vacuum is a great choice for pool owners looking for an easy-to-assemble and use handheld vacuuming solution. This vacuum features a large suction head that helps to quickly and effectively remove leaves, dirt, and debris from your pool. It also comes with a hand-held bag for easy carrying and a 1-1/4 inch pool pole for added convenience. With its superior build quality and excellent customer support, this pool vacuum is sure to be a hit with pool owners everywhere. Bob A.: I have used this all of one time, but I am impressed. After a tropical storm filled my pool with large leaves and other debris, my standard pool vacuum wasn't up to the job, almost immediately getting clogged by the large wet leaves. Ordered this and, after it arrived today, had the pool clean in 30 minutes. It sucks up giant leaves no problem, and completely bypasses the pool's pump and filtration system to eliminate worries over clogging. It even worked on leaves stuck to the side and some that were just floating near the surface.
This is not a replacement to your pool vacuum in that it will not get up the fine sediment. But for easily sucking up the big stuff, this did the job.

Thomas Chastain: This vacuum does work as described and for the price is fine. However, the vacuum is hard to move around the pool and if you have a liner pool, you'll constantly stress you're damaging the liner if the vacuum is not lined up properly. This works well getting larger debris out of the pool, but tough to get the smaller debris out on the bottom. My old pool had an automatic vacuum and obviously that works 10x better, but for the price this vacuum was fine.

R. Pena: I purchased this mainly for picking up leaves which it does a fantastic job. I was hoping there was a fine mesh bag available and I was very happy when I found it available! I tried several of the rechargeable vacuums and most were a big disappointment because of the lack of suction, the short battery operating time and the amount of time I had to spend.
This super sucker vacuum doesn't need a battery which is a plus. Works off a garden hose that creates a vortex and a vacuum suction just like a tornado. It sucks everything up in its path and can accomplish a cleaning task in about 30 min depending on how dirty your pool is and the size of your pool. I would have easily given it a 5 but a couple of things that slowed me down.
1. The plastic ring that the bag is tied to comes off sometimes with the force of the device suction. When this happens everything in the bag comes out and spreads around in the pool.
Remedy: the plastic ring needs a latch or a couple of ridges on the inside that the ring can twist on and secure.
2. The bottom could use a couple of small brushes to break up dirt when needed.
3. The side opposite from the pole latch lifts up when moving it...

FW TUSFW TUS: The Poolmaster customer support came through; I got a replacement for the one that didn't work, and pretty fast too! Difference appears to be that the white ring with the jets etc has to be glued in. Now it works OK. We had an ancient one we finally tossed a few years ago, and my recollection is that it had better suction power than this one, but... who knows. This glued up version works, and support came through. If you need something to remove leaves off the floor of your pool, this is an affordable low tech solution.
--- Original Review: "Doesn't work at all" ---
Water sprays out all over the place from around the white rim, rather than just through the jets.
So there's no noticeable suction/vacuum effect...
Contacted product support, I guess we'll see if they come through... But for now it's a "don't even consider buying it"...

CrystalL: Received the “fine” even though the photo shows all purpose. It is useless. It does not let water get through it, floats and then causes it to disconnect from the vacuum
100% would not recommend

OA: This works well for our pool in a very bushy location. It helps clear most of the debris after heavy wind or a storm to allow the robotic cleaner to do it's job properly. The only issue is the pole attachment is way too small for your standard Australian pool cleaning pole. I had to modify the attachment from an old pool sweeper that fits the correct pole.
For those that complain about the leaves falling out as you remove it, just twist the pole as you pull it out of the pool so the leaf bag wraps around the pole and that will keep all the leaves in.
The price is also quite high for what it is.

Claude MartelClaude Martel: I used it this afternoon, hooked up the hose which was not a very flexible hose and completed the job no problems.
I gave it a 2 star for the value for the money because I wasn't expecting it to be so lite and feel so brittle all plastic.. and the bag does not feel like it will last too long... but so far I've picked up at least 8 full bags and it works like a charm if you're patient and do get too rough with it...
I will definitely have to purchase a flexible hose to operate this thing because I fear the handle and where the hose connects might not last and break making it useless...

HECTOR P.: Lo probé con el filtrado y atrapó la basura más grande, quede conforme con la compra.

Emmanuel: It works. It’s not worth 62$. That’s gouging. It’s worth no more than half. But it really does work. I did a 12x21 pool full of leaves in 20 minutes. The suction is remarkable... the jets create a current into the bag and I thought that it would be too light but it seems to create enough to keep it low to the ground. Very very very easy to use.
Since we closed our pool for winter and had not installed the winter cover, the pool was full of fall leaves and we had no skimmer to plug in the normal vac. This is faster and simpler than using the skimmer. I do recommend it, it really works but 60$ is insane.

Benjamin Bulleman: Suction power will differentiate to your flow of your garden hose. If you have a decent gpm the product works well and vise versa for the opposite. The mesh bag works out well for the debris it will catch and helped me maintain my pool.
