marc archambeau: So this is a very good product. Heats quickly. Lights up when on. Boils water and always cool to see through the glass. I own 2 at home a2 for work over three years and they always work and require little cleaning. EXCEPT the push button to open the top lid works flawless for about ninety days then starts to stick. You'll have to keep the button clean and work to keep it from sticking.... Lid has NEVER failed just gets a little gummy. Typically about $30 have bought them for $14 on Amazon on sale. All my machines work great and in the office boil 7-8 pots a day.

Dariya ScherbaDariya Scherba: Bought this kettle based on reviews, appearance and the fact that water doesn’t contact with plastic. So here it is. Received my kettle today and out the box my first inspection reveals:
1- there are plastic hinges inside the lid,
2- the “filter” is more like a collander and has nothing to do with filtering water,
3- my old Walmart electric kettle boils 0,5 liter of water 23 seconds faster then this new one ( both kettles are 1500W of power)
4- it’s very noisy, while warming water it sounds like an aerodinamic tube and while boiling you can literally hear water splashing inside.
Other than that, it does the job and looks chick.
I think I would appreciate it if the filter was actually a fine mesh like in my old kettle (see the picture) and the metal be better used for the hinges. In that case I probably would put up with noise and boiling time. As is, I am returning this product.

Kelle Neal: Buy this now. It’s lovely and heats the water very quickly. I bought it when my copper stove kettle conked out on me. Word of caution: the steam that comes out of the spout after boiling is HOT. It’s pretty obvious to anyone with a modicum of good sense, but it got much much hotter than I realized. I got a pretty gnarly burn on my arm, but it was my fault for reaching over the kettle to unplug it.

Amazon Customer: As a family of tea drinkers we use electric kettles all the time. We loved the look of this one, the sleek aesthetic, the Swiss cross, the combo of glass and steel, it's a beautiful piece. The problem is, and I am not sure if this is just the one we received or the product in general, but despite the relatively small amount of plastic in this unit, it is enough to cause an overwhelming scent and even taste (yuck!) of plastic. It sort of reminds me of drinking from a new k-mart garden house on a hot summer day (I know that's sort of a dated reference now.) At first we just figured that maybe it needs to run a few times and that plastic smell/taste will gradually go away. After numerous runs with the plastic taste not diminishing (and by now we are passed the 30 day return window) determined to make it work, we tried doing a cleaning run with white vinegar. It did not help. We have now had to go ahead and order a different model from a different band. I feel bad writing such a harsh review but we just can't have our tea tasting like plastic.

l mcnulty: This product is not worth the money! DO NOT BUY IN UK-NOT FIT FOR UK MARKET. The kettle I received was of poor quality and stated on bottom of kettle made in PRC=China. The kettle came with a two pronged American plug and a cheap adaptor. The base plate was scratched and appeared used and there was damage to the box the kettle was packaged in as if the kettle had been used.
The kettle worked for 20 seconds and then cut out with a bad smell. The voltage on the back page of instructions stated 110-120v. This product is unsuitable for UK market but this is not stated in online description.
Return was to Las Vegas and postage had to be paid by purchaser. THIS IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. The whole transaction is unacceptable and i wish for a complete refund including postage back to USA.

trev: this product is one con from start to finish, they lead you to believe its swiss its not, its made in china country that will never be know for quality, and return label states return to las bloody vegas tell me thats a straight deal.

AndyG: Kettle arrived with a cheap American plug which had to be cut off and replaced. It also had no earth connection which is probably illegal in the UK. Overall, didn't have the feel of a quality product.
Kettle started for 20 seconds and then broke. Not particularly auspicious.
