V. Samol: My grandson is doing a project in school with stones and gems. This little handbook will come in handy to keep in his pocket. Not for anyone with bad vision as it is very small like about 4 or 5 inches with pretty small print. But it is going to work great for my grandson.

Amazon Customer: I absolutely love these little pocket sized guides! They are such great quality, chock full of information/ photos for whatever subject they coincide with. This is my second purchase on the series and it did not disappoint my budding geologists!

R. Janke: This is definitely a pocket-sized book - about the same height and about an inch wider than my cell phone.
The book is fairly comprehensive at 156 pages but the small font might require reading glasses! I'd be using a pocket magnifier with this Pocket Genius book! My 9 year old shouldn't have trouble though.
