Professor NishanthProfessor Nishanth: Generally speaking, I love these bottles. They function as expected, are affordable, and have multiple nipple options (available as separate purchases). Please note that they do leak if not tightened properly. Additionally, cleaning these bottles usually takes a couple of extra steps (because of the bottom parts that help remove air). Other reviewers have extensively covered the pros and cons of this bottle and so I am not delving into any of those items in this review.

My primary concern was the issue of packaging and delivery by Amazon. The Playtex packaging arrived smashed and torn. Amazon packaged it with multiple other heavy items. To Amazon's credit, Amazon did process a free replacement when I notified them.

I hope Playtex addresses these packaging issues with Amazon.

Nikki: These are our favorite bottles. I saw a few other reviews concerned about logo changes - the playex baby logo is the same as the ones I got at a baby shower and as what I bought at major retail stores.

In case it matters for anyone scouring reviews at ungodly hours of the night with their babies: we started out doing a mix of breastfeeding and bottle feeding. In those early days, we were using a mix between the bottles that came with various pumps, cheap dollar store bottles, Dr. Brown bottles, and these.

We gravitated toward the pump bottles and these. My husband positively hated the Dr. Brown bottles. I never had the same kind of bad luck as he had with them. I assume they may be more complicated to assemble correctly, and more prone to not getting something "just so."

We finally settled on just these.

Super easy to take apart and clean. I like that there is no bottom.

I started with 6 oz. bottles. Those came with the slow flow nipples. By the time we were ready to switch to a faster flow, it made more sense ($$ and convenience in holding the correct volume) to buy a new set of 9 oz. bottles, which came with the medium flow...

KelentariaKelentaria: Great product! Although I am not sure how it works, I know that it does. As a mother with twins that have really bad GERD, I have tried just about every anticolic bottle there is with little to no results. This one on the other hand is different. We had the most luck with the Dr. Brown bottles, but one of my children was having an issue with it, so we tried the playtex bottles with the deposeable insert, finding that he liked the nipples, but the flow was too fast. After purchasing this set of bottles, and a 4 pack of slow flow tester nipples (nipples to experiment with your baby to find out which version they like best.), we found these bottles to be perfect.

CONS: If you don't have the bottle tight enough it will leak, if you have the lid on too tight good luck getting it off (ring with the nipple on the top of the bottle). Also if you fill it too full it will leak out of the vents in bottom. Be careful with the clear silicone vent pieces they disappear in clear water. Have fun searching desperately in the bottom of the sink for that last piece, thinking you have lost it only to find it still hanging out in the bottom of the sink when you drain out all...

A Tall: They are fantastic. Easy to assemble. Iike that I can wash inside really good because you can open up and down. As a mom they work great for me. My baby likes too. Only thing is that the nipples look little big for his little mouth. He doesn't open he's mouth wide so I always help him with my fingers. Quality is good so far, I wash and sterilize every day and also use dishwasher sometimes. Easy and light for a baby to hold. air comes out when bb drinks. you can hear the air from the bottom. Looks like it does the work.

The Papist: We have been using these Ventaire bottles now for five and half years through three kids and I never cease to be happy with them. My only advice is to NEVER lose the lids. You can't buy replacement lids and you really need them if you are mixing up formula or shaking up the bottle. Other than that they are easy to clean and durable. With our third child we did not even bother with the smaller 6oz bottles and bought another set of these 9oz just to freshen up our supply. We already had a set of slow flow nipples, but when the baby is ready we will switch up to the medium that come standard with the set. We have never had a need for the fast flow.
