Super light and strong old rod used to hurt me fishing for many hrs a day and at tournaments, can happily say those days are behind me! Thanks for making excellent products that are as good or better then the big guys!

Fishing Guy: When I first picked up this rod I couldn’t believe how light it was! I had to make sure I had something in my hand to realize that I had a rod in my hand.!! I fished with these rods last summer and spring and I can tell you that it makes a big difference when cast and hold this rod. Well balanced and well made. Takes the stress off your shoulders hands and fingers from use. Smooth casting and very responsive with bites and you can tell that you have something on. It made a big impact on my catching numbers as well as how I presented my bait and action jigs. This why I bought two more. Just to have and go back on if I need them. My father couldn’t believe it how this rod performed and felt as well! Very happy customer!
Very good value for online shopping. You won’t find this at the big fish shops!!

FloodRunner: I purchased this to replace a Cabela's Fish Eagle casting rod of similar weight and action. To give you an idea of how much I liked the Fish Eagle, I had two of them, both rigged with Lew's Super Duty Speed Spool reels. If 4" of the Fish Eagle rod's tip hadn't broke off this purchase wouldn't have been considered but it really worked out for the best. This rod is so much better conceived and built I'm considering buying another and dumping the other Fish Eagle.
First of all, I fish Northern Pike, and in the process catch a lot of bass. A big fish for me is 15 pounds with most coming in under that and I mostly fish 1/4 to 3/8 oz spinner baits and buzzers on 20 pound KastKing braided line. I find this rod perfect for my needs in lure placement, sensitivity, and strength to tire out hooked fish and steer them into the net. It's very well built, with solid, top quality guides and a great grip. I like the grayed-out blank and its tactile feel. Green and black thread accents are really sharp looking. It's been said a fishing rod without a cork grip is like a boot without leather (Mucks?) and while I appreciate the look, function and tradition of a cork grip I have nothing but...

Update after first season. Rod is still in one piece after a fair bit of use over the course of the summer. The rodgot used less than I hoped because it is takes a lot of effort to keep using it due to the weight. The first fish I caught on it cause the epoxy on the guides to crackle loudly. No damage to the rod but it did startle me. Overall, I rate this rod as heavy but fine for what it is.

Never tried this company before but decided to try the 7'9" MH to dip my toe into using 2 oz swimbaits. I didn't want to spend a ton of money if I don't end up liking the technique but I was willing to gamble on the sale price of $76. At full retail of $90, I think this rod might struggle to be competitive with other rods but I haven't fished it yet so the jury is still out on whether this is a gem or not.
Will update after spring and some time on the water but for now:
Pros
-Packaged well in a hard tube, tip was reinforced with cardboard, and blank was supported with foam.
-Rod looks cool. This doesn't matter for performance but not having an ugly rod is a bonus in my book.
Cons
-The rod is heavier than expected. Any review that...

RemMag: I love the Serpent line of fishing rods. I own 2 of the baitcasting rods in 7' 3" MH XF action and 7' MH F action. I run the Piscifun Carbon X reels with 20 lb braid and the new Carbon XCS with 10 lb braid. These rods have done nothing but impress me since day one. I had a mishap at the lake one day where one of my rods fell in the lake and I was shocked that my specific setup actually floated and allowed me to retrieve my rod, reel, and lure from the lake where in the past it would have been gone forever unless you got lucky enough to snag it with another rod and lure. When I bought the new Carbon XCS I was disappointed to find out that Piscifun was no longer selling the Serpent baitcasting rods. They do offer another line of baitcasting rods, but they are 2 piece rods and I have always hated a 2 piece rod because over time they tend to come apart too easily and now I will be forced to move to either a different brand of baitcasting rod or I'll just have to start building my own rods which was the original plan until I ran across the Piscifun Serpent rods. I will however continue to buy their reels as they are fantastic.
