muso: I bought it for myself after seeing Phantom of the Opera at Sydney Opera House, recently. I've only been learning piano for almost 2 years so it's my motivator to keep practicing so that I will one day be able to play it.

MVW: We have seen live performances of "Phantom" a number of times in London, Broadway and on the road. The most rewarding live performances require seats in the first few rows - hard to get a very expensive. This recorded presentation is as good as the best we have seen even when we have had the best seats in the house.The cast, orchestra and staging are brilliant, while the cinematography draws the viewer right into the events on stage in a way that can't be duplicated in a live performance. So, if you are a "Phantom" fan, this is a must-have!

Kindle Customer 1959: I bought this for my nine year old godson because he lived the site and is learning to play the piano. He was speechless and that's saying something. He ran to the piano and started on the first page and played all afternoon. I took him to the Phantom of the Opera and he sang home the entire three hour trip. The book is easy to read and stays on the piano rack easily not too slip. Nice story on the inside cover, too!

Patrick Lamoureux: What I look for in Piano music is how authentic it sounds to the play/song. This one is pretty authentic with varying difficulty for each song. Overall I love the book, music and arrangement. I am a beginner/intermediate piano player, so some of these songs I got really good at and some of them are still a struggle for me. But my favorite songs "Music of the Night" and "All I ask of You" were easy enough to learn and still sound great as far as authenticity to the music

A.R.F.: Very clear words. I can't sight read for piano, so I only use it for singing. It lays very flat without falling apart, though, which is very nice for a music stand, no flopping around and closing. You'll have to figure out yourself how to arrange the trio at the end with Christine, the Phantom, and Raoul, (you know, where Erik is trying to persuade Chris to stay with him by strangling Raoul, it's one of my favorite parts just because of the intensity of performance and emotion) as all the parts are not there for that arrangement. You'll have to piece it together from 'Angel of Music' 'Past the Point of No Return' and then look up Raoul's part somewhere else. But most people wouldn't be too concerned with this, so I recommend buying this if you like all the main songs =]
