AddaAdda: Rusty loves his new perch! The one we had before (different company) fell from the window when Rusty jumped up and that was it, he wouldn't use it anymore. Try as we might we couldn't fix it. I read about this one and mid July decided to give it a try. Seriously sturdy and Rusty is back enjoying window time! It's been close to a month, no issues whatsoever. It is a thin window still so the ability to adjust was helpful. The pieces that go in the window have not caused any concern with opening and closing. I just purchased another one today for an another window. Happy cat, happy life!

SPQRSPQR: My cats love it and won’t share with each other, so I had to buy two (even though both could fit on one.) Came with all the tools needed to assemble it. Unlike many others that have a hammock style platform, this one is solid and well made. Would (and did) buy again.

Amazon Customer: Was quick to build and install. My only caveat is that the lip that gies in the window frame is a little bit thick, but that gives it strength.

S. G.S. G.: Unfortunately, I don’t have a cat who would love staring out the window. I do have a couple of Venus fly traps that love light, and I need to use space creatively in a small space.
It was a bit aggravating trying to put it together, but that may have been my own tolerance for aggravation that day.
It seems pretty sturdy. It does slant down a bit towards the front, but not enough for stuff to go sliding off. I may find some pieces of wood to put under it on the windowsill to flatten it out. I know the plants and lights are nowhere near the rated 55lbs.
At first, I didn’t think I’d have a use for the soft mat that comes with it. It seems like the backing is at least a bit water-resistant, so I flipped it over. A bit awkward to get on, but it works fine.
My window does shut all the way, but I had to make a slight modification when I screwed the window brackets on. I screwed them in just a bit off from the holes, and there’s juuuust enough space for my window to close and not have the shelf in the way.

Katie JayKatie Jay: My cat loved the perch, at least for the 2 weeks I was able to use it before it failed. I bought this perch specifically because it can be moved as needed- you don't permanently affix the perch to your window. My cat likes to sit with an open window (with a screen). Unfortunately, the way the perch works, it hangs off the window track, which the window pane runs along to open or close. If you want to hang the perch where the window is open, then you will have to remove the perch every time you want to close the window. This shouldn't be a problem - you should simply need to loosen the 2 screws (see photo) to remove the hook & vice grip of the perch. So this is what I did, using the screwdriver that came enclosed with the perch. Unfortunately, the bolts are made of a very soft metal, aluminum I suspect, and the "X" in the bolt literally widened from using the screwdriver (see close up of pic of bolt, you can see where screwdriver widened the "X" just by turning the screwdriver in the bolt!). Long story short - I can no longer turn the bolts. Which means I can no longer use the perch. I suppose I will have to go to a hardware store, which we all know has no customer service to...

Mr S ShawMr S Shaw: Great product. There are cheaper out there but this one is excellent. It even comes with a two sides screwdriver so you don't even need your own tools to assemble it. Instructions are easy to follow and the cats love the super soft pad.
No nails even go into the wall. It's support with a brace piece. Unless your cat is really heavy then there should be no problems. Also the brave piece underneath the wooden pad is on a rail so will fit your windowill.
Cats loved it straight away and I'm sure yours will too. Might end up getting another one for the master bedroom too. This was in the spare room / office. Highly recommended.

StephanieStephanie: The media could not be loaded. This product is great! I took a risk cuz I didn't really understand what type of windowsill you need but it ended up working! I posted a pic of my windowsill^ . Well I don't even think I have the exact proper windowsill cuz the hooks stick up off the windowsill(posted a video, sorry it's kind of a crappy video). But it still works! You don't have to screw anything into the wall and it comes with a QR code with a youtube video to build it. It was pretty easy! I'm not the best builder when it comes to this stuff but I figured it out! Even tho the black hook parts stick out the perch still stays on, sometimes it slightly moves when my cat jumps on it but I've had it for a few months now and it hasn't fallen off or anything. The only downside is it's kind of small! I mean it's good cuz it doesn't take up the entire window but my cat is small but long so when he sleeps on it his legs hang off lmao. He doesn't seem to care but for larger cats it might be too small! I'd say it's good for any cat to just sit on to look out the window but if your cat is like mine and likes to stare out the window while laying down and also sleep on high up perches like...
