Elaine Elder: I've got her bowls in the center. So you can read the words, but they cover up the bones. It's a cute design. I wish the bones went around the edges. It keeps the water off the floor and the kibble stays on the mat until she gets around to it. She has a water bowl, a kibble bowl and a bowl for treats. So three bowls cover the bones. My husband reminds her... "Hey you missed some" and jokes with her about how spoiled she really is and now she has the signage to prove it.

T P: A nice size to hold both food bowls for my cats. I have only brushed off and wiped the mats to clean them and so far so good. The mat quality is very good and should hold up well.

Amazon Customer: Appreciate the size but have only had them a few months, thus only 2 stars for cleaning. Purposely looked for large mats as my 2 Golden Retrievers have the elevated dual feeding/water bowls in a contained heavy plastic unit. This means even the container doesn't move when they eat or drink due to the material and backing for the mat (it's not smooth, almost a small grid pattern, thus no sliding). I need to vacuum the room they have these units in about every 2 days-just to get the dog hair up from the tile floor and it does accumulate on the mat edges too. I try to shake them outside to loosen additional hair but it stays on there pretty well, so I end up spot vacuuming the mat too. Both mats ordered are different and unfortunately since their feeders are large they pretty much hide the great designs. Water spills stay on the mat but don't go thru the backing or run off. But when it comes time to wash these, I'm going to do the spot type cleaning first time to see how it works. Next time maybe I'll try a quick soaking method to get them cleaner. foodgirl: I want to first say, it was very hard to find a mat I was sure I should buy after reading all the reviews, many which were negative in nature and seemingly looking to complain about an item. This is an item that will get lots of "use with water and food from a pet eating and anyone that thinks it won't is not realistic. I want to know if it is as described and the size of it.

This MAT is great. It is very stylish and smart looking and I am so pleased with it overall.

It is NOT a heavy bulky mat but rather a nice more thing placemat that keeps the food and water from getting all over the place. Mine looks as it did the day it arrived except now it has some food marks on it, as well as some "more personal paw prints" and in the washer it must go I have NOT had any of the previously mentioned "color runs" as some other reviews have stated from the water bowls. This is before WASHING it which I am doing now and will finish this review when it comes out of the washer.

Washing is NOW complete and it washed like a charm - looks brand new.
