Amazon Customer: This gate was suggested to us by the shelter we got our dog from. It's super easy to setup and move but that's also the negative. We had to brace it up with a laundry hamper because the dog could just move it out of the way.

Colleen: This is a great divider gate. As long as you keep it bent in 2 places it stays up well. It is very light weight which is good for moving but know that my little 20lb dog just pushes his nose against it to open himself. So unless you use something heavy on the ends, to hold it in place, your pet could easily move it. However we were able to teach our little guy that the gate means he is to stay in the area until we let him out. Do not leave your per unsupervised with this divider.

Jeff: I have a senior dachshund and live in a 3-story townhome. I needed a solution to keep her from going downstairs or upstairs from the 2nd floor. Bought two of these. They work great in a situation where a traditional baby gate won’t work.

Lam I: My puppy can use his nose to get the gate open. The purpose of this gate to block the puppy to enter the living is in vain. The gate is pretty light and not sturdy, not easy to block the puppy.

Amazon Customer: This thing is like balsa wood light, like it's made of takeout chopsticks. If you have a sizeable dog, this is maybe okay as a visual barrier for small spaces, but it will not work to keep them anywhere they don't want to be. I ordered this because the Unipaws Freestanding Pet Gate has been out of stock for a while. They are similar prices, and that one is hefty and has little rubber nubs to keep it in place along with optional bolsters if you want to set it up straight and not angled. That gate also has articulated hinges that go backwards and forwards. The hinges on this gate only moves one way. I'm not going to return it because I just can't be bothered, and it will mostly suit my needs since I wanted something for the bedroom to just block off a small area, but I would definitely not recommend this to anyone with anything bigger than a bichon.

Breeanna: This gate is exactly what I was looking for, as I didn't want one I'd have to screw into the wall. It's a good size, came assembled, and is lightweight. For the first while, it did the trick. Soon after, my pup discovered he can nose his way around it and escape. My fault for not getting one that screws into the wall, but a definite downside to just how lightweight it is. Works best for docile animals.

Sorry if it is difficult to tell from the pics but the 1st few pics are the better quality gates and the last few are the knockoffs. The pic in the middle is a side by side of the 2 gates.

One box was unmarked with a flimsy, lightweight, easilly broke, uneven gate. It could be easily tipped over just by how uneven it was. I had to place stoppers on the bottom to get it to stand without rocking. I needed to make it work till my replacement gate came in.

The other box had a sturdy, better quality, gate with PetMaker logo on the actual box. The color on the PetMarker gate was a nice brown with strong wood and the gate did not feel so easily knocked over. It was sturdy and strong. I did not need to do anything to it to make it work.

I exchanged the knockoff and am now waiting for my replacement in the hopes I have good luck and get an original. It is unfortunate because the knockoff is probably giving the product a bad name. I’m happy with the original product.

Amazon really needs to fix their processes in how knockoffs keep getting mixed in with the originals.
