Darius: Solid stainless steel. Text looks like it's laser engraved, and it's pretty deep. There's no paint so there's no way the text will become unreadable. They have some weight to them, maybe about 2 quarters. I don't think you can find something of the same quality for under $10.

But after I've contacted the company, they were quick to respond and make me another one at no cost. It arrived today and it looks so good on my cat. He loves it!
I don't often write reviews but since they donate food to local pet shelters and rescues, I had to leave one.
