Will P: I love this hose reel. I've owned a coupke different ones in the past and I've always thought the hoses were never quite long enough. They were 50' hose reels so it makes sense that they wouldn't be long enough. So this time around I set out to find one with a 100' foot hose or at least one that was capable of holding 100' of hose. This thing is well made. The springs inside are very strong. When it starts reeling the hose back in it feels like it's going to take me too. It is more expensive than most. But when you install it and use it, you're going to know where the extra money went and you're not going to regret the purchase one bit.

Louie: Don't believe me, read the reviews about the cheapest hose available. I purchased 4 of these reels and installed them inside a mechanic shop. Within 3 weeks, an employee informed me that the hose was about to break and was showing signs of what looked like age cracking with minimal use. I checked the other reels that were installed and sure enough, they too, were cracking without even being used for the first time. I should have paid more attention to the reviews about the inferior hose material. Lesson learned. Very dissatisfied

Joseph Yonke II: Took a bit of doing before I actually received this. It seems that the first one I ordered must have become damaged in shipping and was returned to Amazon. After calling to enquire, I reordered and a week or so later it arrived undamaged. This is heavy, make no mistake. What I really like about this though is the tremendous difference between the 'rubber' hose variety of hose reels vs. the other form(s) of hose reel (PVC or the like).
The rubber hose is so flexible. I can pull it off of the reel and it just lays on the floor whereas, trying to unreel my previous 50' of hose (PVC) it would just curl and curl and create a lot of frustration trying to get it to full length. And then for rewinding. . . .another pain! This thing works great. Just have to listen for the 'clicking' to know when to get it to hold and the same for releasing. It was interesting to walk into my local BMW dealership and go into the shop portion and see these same reels on the walls of each of the mechanic's bays. Only 'downside' I see at this time is that the yellow comes off of the hose as you hold it to either extend it or retract it. Otherwise, this really filled a void. Like I mentioned, it is heavy.
