Debbie PaynterDebbie Paynter: This seems like a decent reel and works well. The hose it came with is total garbage and wouldn’t make it thru a summer in my Arizona garage so I purchased a 3/8” Goodyear hose on it made in America. Good American made reels would be Reelcraft or CoxReels but I don’t use one enough to justify the price.
This mounted right in place where I had a Northern Tools Klutch Reel mounted. I didn’t even have to drill as it was a perfect fit.

Jason: No issues so far, bolted up to the place my old HF one was for 15 years. Holds air for days with no issue at all, pretty sure I have a really slow leak near compressor not related to this reel. The quaility looks better than the HF one so I expect to get even more life out of this one.

Nick: Works great and zero leaks. Installation is a pain though. The screws are very long and screwing them in-between the wheel and bracket got me sweaty

Mike: The reel and hose seem of very good quality but mounting it to my garage wall was a pain. The 3 or 4 inch bolts required to properly anchor it into a stud were very difficult to tighten because of the limited space to squeeze a tool in between the reel and back plate. A better solution would be to have a removable back plate that could be easily mounted separately and then once mounted secure the hose/reel unit to this plate. This was the simple design of my old Mastercraft hose/reel that broke and was replaced with this unit.
