The One: I have a Morton's neuroma between the 3rd and 4th metatarsal of the left foot. My doctor prescribed a thick rubber metatarsal lift pad to stick to the insoles of my shoe which helped some along with medication. I still had more pain than was tolerable especially if I was on my feet a lot and it bothered me at night as I am a side sleeper so it put pressure on the metatarsals. After doing a lot of reading I hit upon toe spacers and zero drop, large toe box shoes. I tried several different toe spacers and these were the ones that were sized right and stayed in place. I use 2 spacers with one between the little toe and the 4th toe and another between the 4th and 3rd toe. Great pain relief! The combination of the shoes (Altra brand with minimal cushioning, zero drop and large toe box) and these little spacers has done wonders for me. I sleep at night and can now go to Disney World and other places where I am on my feet for hours with minimal discomfort. The small size spacers worked for me and I have very large feet. Please note there are 4 of the same size spacers in the pack and not an assortment of various sizes. You can wash these like washing your hands and then dry with a towel....

The Adkins Family: Wearing the Pedifix Gel Smart Visco-gel Toe Spacer between my 3rd and 4th toes alleviates metatarsal pain, including that which wakes me up in the middle of the night. I have tried a number of other solutions and, generally, anything that separates the toes - yoga socks, toe socks, metatarsal pads, anatomical soles, anatomical shoes, etc. - helps. These are a little challenging to keep in place, but seems to be the most effective of all the remedies tried over the past 25 years. They hand wash well and seem to be quite durable. But I ordered smalls for my size 7.5 feet and they are too tall and possibly too wide, but seem to be the smallest option available. I am considering trying out the flatter toe separators for this reason.
