Steve Lawson: Several months ago I bought two of these 8GB memory sticks to install next to my existing two Ballistix GB sticks. That didn't work. That's when I learned that mixing manufacturers, even if everything else is supposedly the same [aka DDR3 UDIMM 1600MHz]. I thought if I ordered the same configuration I'd be OK, but NO!
So, I waited until I had some more disposable income and bought two more of the EXACT SAME memory sticks, and THAT WORKED!! I removed the Ballstix memory sticks, then installed the two new ones and powered up my PC. It ran for a few seconds, when power cycles, then ran for a few more seconds, then power cycled, etc. After few more of these, I pulled the plug and removed one of the new sticks, then powered up again. It power cycled a few more times and then POST succeeded and it made it to the Windows {10] login. After I verified that 24GB was present, I powered down and installed the re-installed the fourth memory stick, and powered back up. I don't remember if it power cycled one more time, or if it just booted up, but after that I was able to verify 32 GB!!

C. Barnes: I really can't evaluate the performance of these RAM sticks because every time I put them in my motherboard, I got a bluescreen. However, I don't believe it was due to any malfunction of the RAM because I tried several other sticks with housings on them that did the same thing. I ended up having to use unhoused RAM sticks which worked fine but was rather odd to me because I already had two housed Corsair RAM stick in my motherboard.

DwightP980: I recently purchased the Patriot Signature DDR3 16GB memory for my wife's computer, after looking at the onboard hardware and determining a lot of the speed issues she was having with her system was due to the old 7200rpm hard drive, and the 8GB of memory she had in the system.
Replacing the hard drive with a Samsung SSD was a major help but I felt there was still a little more speed to be found for not a lot of bucks, by increasing the memory on-board.
I've used Patriot Memory Modules for years and have never had anything but excellent results, so it made it easy for me to go with this memory.
Patriot memory will give you lots of bang for the buck, and speed up that old slow computer!

Margarita: Instalado en un Packard Bell de 2013 16GB (2x8GB) en sustitución de 4GB originales que eran muy insuficientes. Con 8GB se hubiese notado el mismo cambio en rendimiento, peeeero a partir de Windows 8 la RAM sobrante se ocupa con datos en forma de caché ("memoria en espera") que aceleran muchísimo la carga de aplicaciones usadas anteriormente en la misma sesión. En mi caso, se llena la RAM hasta 13GB, 4/5GB de memoria activa y el resto de caché y me sobran 4/5GB para más caché si fuese necesario. O sea que: 1) Se elimina el cuello de botella de la RAM 2) El disco duro se usa mucho menos (y se le alarga la esperanza de vida) porque la memoria virtual pasa a la RAm y porque muchos datos van a la caché 3) Las aplicaciones "reusadas" se cargan mucho más rápido. Ahora el cuello de botella es la CPU, pero eso ya no tiene remedio.
Me ha gustado lo fácil que ha sido instalarlas y que llevan unos disipadores de calor que, además de su función, protegen los chips mientras se manipulan.
De momento, 5 estrellas. SI algo va mal, editaré.
