TX EmptyNester: Like that the product comes with extra blades - nice storage spot for the blades. Cushioned holder with a cover, so that the lame isn't exposed. Easy to change out the blades as well. Instructions included, but aren't even needed.

VodaVoda: This is only tool I can use to score my sourdough. I am clumsy, and with other lames I had several injuries. This one is perfect. I can put blade in without cutting myself, and spacer makes it easy to decide if you want it straight ot curved. Beautifully built, and quality to last. I love it.

David: I bought this due to the Americas Test Kitchen recommendation and I think it will work fine, but I have allready find that the lame is pretty heavy and is also adjustable to use it either as a straight or curved blade. I've used it once and found that when I used the lame in the straight configuration, i was not able to cut deep enough to go all the way through the developed skin from the bannaton.
Next time I am going to set it up in the curved mode to see if it will cut deep enough.
