The dog rack works well. My dog is an Australian Shepard so he is full of hair, with the soft undercoat. It grabs the loose undercoat and removes it. The only thing is my dog still doesn’t like to be combed at all, which isn’t the fault of the rack.

Don’t get me wrong, you have to work it a little bit, but I’ve already gotten two mats out of my part Maine Coone cat. He’s so sassy as he came from an abusive situation. The last time I took him to the vet for a check up, he had to be sedated. I couldn’t bring myself to stress him out again and take him in for a grooming. I bought a razor and tried shaving him which helped but he won’t let me shave him all over. He loves being brushed certain places. He doesn’t like when I’m working on a mat, but I got him to sit still long enough and it came out. Just like untangling hair, start at the end and work your way up. I can’t wait to get all the mats out of my sassy senior. Even the loose fur it gets out is crazy. Spend the money. Get the brush.

Just purchased this brush for my long haired cat and German shepherd dog. It worked great the first time and I really noticed the improvement it made with their hair. Took off all that loose hair.

This style of grooming tool is far superior to the yellow furminator. It not only desheds fur but also thins the coat as well. . It leaves the coat looking healthy, clean and sleek. My dog is a mix, rescue dog. We think he’s part Tenneesee tree hound and shepherd mix but others say he has a pit bull look. He used to shed moderately, but now it seems to increase with age. He LOVES this style deshedder, labeled as PET GROOMING TOOL BY PATYOURPET
It has two sides to it. One for detangling longer coats with 9 teeth, if needed and one side for deshedding which has 17 teeth, and is the side I use for deshedding and thinning. The “teeth” are not sharp, but rounded. My dog now loves to be groomed. At first, I felt like I was sheering a sheep there was so much fur! It is an amazing, effective tool that is comfortable for both the dog and the groomer to use. I highly recommend this excellent product!

I have a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix who spends long days outside on our acreage in a cold, northern region. So he has a thick double coat and sheds all year round. I was both delighted and horrified by this brush and how much hair came off my dog. I honestly don't understand how he's not bald.
This brush works SO well and I like how it has two sides to it. The one side is gentle on any mats while the other one helps tidy up his fluffy butt. You have to be gentle while using it otherwise it'll pull, but it's easy to use. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.
