sctin1: This unit does exactly as it says - zaps the hell out of anything that comes in contact - including flies, stink bugs, hornets and fingers (don’t ask me how I know). It announces its domination with a thunderous “SNAP” that will jolt you from your chair. This is followed shortly thereafter by the wafting aroma of BBQ bug parts. Some of the larger bugs don’t die right away. Anyone who has seen “The Green Mile” will cringe at the thought of how that movie ended and that is pretty much what happens whenever a large stink bug wonders into the hypnotic blue light. Using it as a “fly swatter”, while it does technically work as designed, is not super practical or effective. We leave it in the base in auto mode and it zaps happily away until we go to bed when we turn it off so it doesn’t wake us up. I gave it 4 stars because it does work, but with unintended consequences that I did not consider prior to purchase. Would I buy again? Probably not, but that’s mostly because of our our unique needs and not due to the function.

Raymie: I purchased a home this summer, a brand-new build. The construction workers were in and out all summer, leaving doors and windows open constantly, and the lot is right next to a large pond. When I moved into my home, we had a lot of flies and gnats and baby dragonflies buzzing around inside.

I purchased this zapper and placed it on a table on the stand and just left it on 24/7. It works great! It zapped bugs constantly and if I saw a fly when I was in the room, I was able to grab the zapper and get it right then and there. Our home is now free of all bugs and pests, but I still leave this plugged in because it'll catch any strays that happen to come inside every now and then.

As an added bonus, it's actually an attractive item to just have sitting on a table. It doesn't look out of place at all. I've had several people comment on it and say that they're going to purchase one of their own. I highly recommend this, I love it! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Glyn: This year we have be having a plauge of flies.. little dots of despair that are lets face it just anoying.

All i can say is that the satifaction you get from the boom when the fliy hits the bat just cant be put into words.

I have had loads of these in the past. they last for a few weeks and then fall to bits. This is just amazing. Great quality, rechargable and looks like soomehting far more expensive than it is.

The battery seems to go on for ever..

Honestyl... possibly one of the best things I have ever bought on Amazon.. this thing is amazing..

Get one.. Thank me later..

My main issue with this product is that the battery dies SO fast, in a way that if it's not plugged to the charger, you have about a minute until it dies.

Positiv: Also die Fliegenklatsche fängt Fliegen - keine Motten - wenn sie im dunklen Zimmer angeschaltet steht. Sie leuchtet violetblau. Die Fliegen werden sofort getötet bzw. schmelzen weg - Eintagsfliegen. Daher eine Kaufempfehlung.

Negativ: Es ist kein Netzstecker- Ladeadapter im Lieferumfang. Der eingebaute Akku hält höchstens 30 Minuten. Wenn die Fliegenklatsche als solche gebraucht werden soll muss Stufe 1 eingestellt werden und eine große weiße Taste gedrückt werden wenn man nach einer Fliege schlägt. ABER auf Stufe 1 leuchtet sie nicht. Eine rote Diode soll anzeigen das sie in Betrieb ist. Ich weiß nicht ob das stimmt. Das Gitter wollte ich nicht berühren. Da es eine Fliegenklatsche ist dachten die Hersteller muss der Ladefuß nicht groß sein. LEIDER die Fliegenklatsche steht sehr instabil in der Ladestation. Will man die Klatsche im Dauerbetrieb haben, sie wird richtig heiß, muss sie in die Ladestation gestellt werden. Wackelig. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist grottenschlecht übersetzt, und das heutzutage. Nicht zu verstehen.

Da sie Fliegen fängt 4 Sterne eigentlich...

Jack Dawson: We bought this rather than buying both a handheld swatter and a standing/hanging zapper. It doesn't do either of the jobs as well as the individual products do, but as a space/cost saving combo it does well enough.

As a handheld tool, the settings are a little confusing at first - there's no visual feedback when it's active in the 'manual' mode unlike the 'always on' mode, so it's not immediately clear when it's working. The swatter works well, either killing or stunning flies with a single swat every time, but it's a little large and unwieldy for swatting in general.

Similarly, the always on mode catches and kills quite a few flies, but the mesh design needed for it to work as a manual swatter means flies often get caught on the mesh, causing it to shock several times and produce quite a disgusting smell. It's also a little unsteady as the whole construction is very top-heavy.

If you're not worried about price, I'd recommend getting separate dedicated zappers and swatters, but as a low-cost combination this works very well for the price.

This is so much fun! During the day if not in complete sunlight it will still work and charge. It may just sputter in light shade but I think that’s ok. At night is when the real show begins! It is so colorful! We have had so many people ask us where we got it. Love it!

Welp it’s been a few weeks and the lights at night no longer work!! Super disappointed! It’s in direct sunlight all day has been doing great. Went out 3 nights ago and it’s not lit. The water works but at night you need the lights. That’s why we bought it because of the lights. May try another company and see if there’s last.
The lights quit working when I changed the filter. Has anyone else had this problem? I have 2 of these and it happened with both of them! For the money these should last a lot longer! If the seller sees this it would be nice if there’s a way to get these working they...

I really do love the product and it does work (I love hearing the zaps when it gets a bug (my dogs not so much) but there are less bugs now in my home (bugs get inside because my dogs would stand between the doggie door flap constantly letting cool air out and bugs in)

The idea of this product is great. However it definitely DOES NOT keep the charge for every long (less than an hour).

I had this plugged in and charging. But once it is on battery mode. It does not stay on for very long.

Plugged. It works great
Battery charged. It is a disappointment

******9/2023 update: company says they are fixing this issue and battery now should last longer than just one hour*****
