Licorice: Prodotto perfetto, il caffè torna a salire senza nessun problema, mentre prima, a causa del filtro ormai otturato, si fermava a metà e tendeva a bruciarsi.
Il filtro riporta impressa la dicitura "made in Italy". Montato senza alcuna difficoltà.
La confezione è in cartoncino, non in plastica, quindi con impatto ambientale minimo. Arrivata comunque intatta, non ammaccata come talvolta accade, perché spedita in un imballo a sacchetto, non rigido.
Ricordavo che la mia moka fosse da 3 tazze, il diametro delle guarnizioni si è rivelato esatto.
Ho fatto andare la moka per il primo utilizzo con filtro e guarnizione nuovi con sola acqua, senza caffè, e poi l'ho usata normalmente. Già dal primo utilizzo né il filtro, né la guarnizione hanno modificato il profumo del caffè.

Zero Signal: I grew up drinking espresso out of the little Bialetti-style coffee pots. I have a collection of several sizes but the one that gets used the most is the 1-cup.

None of mine have been a genuine Bialetti. Most of them were purchased years ago at local mom-n-pop stores that sold whatever oddball brands fell off the boat. They've all worked fine (with the exception of one particularly bad one I got at, of all places, Ikea).

One thing they all have in common is that they cook gaskets over time. I used to live near a hardware store that carried replacement gaskets in bulk for about 50 cents apiece, but those days are long gone. Now I have to order online.

A set of three gaskets will last me a couple of years with daily use. I'm about due for a replacement now, and I think I still have one gasket left. It's nice to have a few spares laying around for when your percolator starts seeping between the base and top. Even with the oddball collection of clones that I have, original Bialetti gaskets have always fit and worked fine. Same for the filters.

A. J. St-John: I dug an old moka pot out of my kitchen cabinet and decided to give it a go. Well, that old gasket that had been in that pot for what seemed like a million years needed to go away. I ordered these (the first ones I ordered were too large and that was my fault) and after using a butter knife to finally pry the old one out, I put this one on, again using the butter knife to carefully make sure that the new gasket was tucked in perfectly, then assembled my moka pot back together, added my coffee, and then brewed up a great cup of joe with nary an issue! Very happy girl!
