HilHil: There is a purple stain on the lid. It doesn’t affect functionality but it’s an eye sore… not returning but that’s why I give 3 stars.

DynkyDynky: This is a perfect container for storing dog treats (or anything else that will fit, really). It fits a full, 60 oz box of “small” size Milkbone dog treats (shown, as the dogs danced around my feet in happy anticipation). I’ve had this container for more than 3 years and use it daily — who am I kidding, more than daily. I wash it between boxes by hand with a dish cloth and dish soap and let it dry before refilling. Super easy to clean and OXO containers and their locks are amazing. I have 2 OXO containers in the house for the important things — dog treats and coffee. Yes, they aren’t cheap. Yes, they are everything you want. No, I am not affiliated in any way whatsoever with the company, including investment (if there is such a thing).

Chachyrach: I bought this for flour originally, but doesn't seal well enough for flour so returned it. I do think if you're needing something small for pet food and you don't have overly curiously pets this would likely be fine.

J. Youngs: At this point I've bought 5 of these; enough for a full 25lb bag of food. I'm really happy with the product; it's simple to use, seems airtight, is easy to clean, etc.

What I'm not happy with is the shape they came in. First- I ordered 2 of them "open box". One of them came without a lid...so basically useless. Amazon said to reach out to OXO so I tried that, but they said they can't help (and that they're working to have Amazon remove that direction). Then I forgot to return it. Ugh.

Then I bought 3 new ones. One of them was fine, while the other two had packing tape holding the lid on. I guess I should be happy that they actually had lids(!), but it was really annoying to get open, and they're still covered in adhesive. I'll get it off someday, but what a hassle.

Great product, but it might be worth looking for alternative distributors if this is what we can expect from Amazon. It makes me want to give a bad review so they fix it, but the product itself is solid.

Yvonne: I love OXO containers. I use them for regular foods, spices, crackers, etc.
This 5.8 quart pet size container can hold a 5lb bag of Performatrin Ultra Puppy dog food, with a tad bit of room on top to insert a small scoop. If you don't have a scoop, the curved corners of the container make it easy to pour from. A handle would have made it even more versatile.

cutrang: I really enjoyed this storage container. While initially I thought I could also use this to take some food to work like other storage containers I see that this really isn't it's forte (although this is perfectly sized to take nuts or fruits to work). Once I received the box I went through the tedious step of removing the plastic shrink-wrap from the container. Once that was removed I pulled out the instructions to see how to clean them (you should always wash new containers and these ones had the new abs plastic smell). The instructions that came with the containers were written in English, but poorly from what I gathered from the instructions are that these containers need to be kept below 170F. In addition it says you can microwave these containers (without the lids) but they cannot get more than 170 degrees hot. As most microwaves get hotter than 170 degrees I have elected to use these only as dry food and cold food storage. In addition as most dishwashers get hotter than 170 degrees, I have elected to wash these by hands only. Once you understand the limitation of these containers and their true purpose, dry and Cold Storage, this container is great. The lid took all of two...

Kimberly Pappas: I love the OXO container options, they are great for many different purposes. I use these for my rabbit's extra litter and pellet food. The containers stay sealed when the top button is pushed down and open at the touch of the button. The sealing is great and keeps everything fresh. The size is perfect for what I needed and everything was as described. I've had other versions of this container and they last a long time. My only word of caution is to take care in avoiding holding the container up by the lid! It holds nicely, but if the container is too heavy, then the lid will slip out of place and the whole bottom section will fall off. This happened to me once and the plastic didn't even crack, so I was happily surprised.

Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the product!

Expressed Reviews: I purchased this container so that it would be easy to dispense dry cat food, while at the same time keeping it fresh. It works perfectly in both respects. The container is solidly built, easy to handle and designed to last.

When I open a new bag of cat food, rather than keep it in the bag, I simply pour it into the OXO container. There's a large push button on the top of the container. When pushed, it locks the top on, and when pushed again, it unlocks the top. This makes it a breeze to remove the top and pour the needed amount of cat food into a feeding dish. When done, I simply put the top back on, press the button, and I'm all set. The button also servers as a handle, making it easy to remove.

The rounded corners of the container make for extremely easy dispensing and the tall dimensions take up much less space in my cabinet, making it much easier to store. When stored and locked with the button down, the cat food remains fresh, as there's a very effective airtight seal. The large opening at the top of the container makes it a cinch to clean.

The bottom line is that this is the perfect container for storing and dispensing dry pet food, as well as a variety...
