lens lover: For 40 years I’ve been cooking rice with the little rice measuring cup that comes with each rice cooker and my fingers were always yearning for a handle. Finally in my older age as I am wanting to spoil myself a little, I searched for a rice cup with a handle and found this. Yay! I love it so much. And it’s such a great price. Emmi: Rice scoops are not one cup they are 3/4 cup. This is the perfect rice scoop. It’s easy to measure with because it has a tab and the material is firm. I haven’t lost it yet either so that’s good. Plus it’s the best priced rice scoop on Amazon.

DoraG: I really like this little scoop, the reason I give it 3 stars is because it is advertised as a 1 cup scoop and it actually measures ¾ c. As I like to leave the scoop inside my rice container, I went ahead and measured the 2 scoops of rice. Then I used another measuring cup to measure the water. I use 1:1 ratio for my jasmine rice, thus I measured 2cups of water, added that to my rice, thinking I had 2 cups of rice in the cooker and it came out super mushy. I then realized this little scoop does not measure 1cup but rather 3/4. Not a big deal, but I think this should be noted in the description instead of advertising it as a 1cup scooper.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: The media could not be loaded.  This is a great rice cup! Sturdy, accurate measurement and easy to clean. Best of all I won’t lose it because it sticks to the lid.

I know people have mentioned the measurement is not exact. They say it’s less than 1 cup. That’s because this is a rice cup which is usually less than a measuring cup. If you have a rice cooker, it usually comes with a plastic cup which is the rice cup and in the video I uploaded the measurement of the oxo rice cup is the same as the plastic cup!

This is the cup to use for rice cooker measurement!
