Yes, the numbers are tiny and I had to use a flashlight while in a lit garage because of being in dark wheel wells. You may even need to use your phone to take a photo with flash to zoom into the number depending on your eyesight. I have 20/15 vision and it is pretty small.

Hard to call it a complaint though as you can't really improve that without making the whole thing larger or digital.

I didn't have problems like other reviewers. My picture is sitting on a flat surface and correctly shows 0/32. I used it on my tires with no issues. Easy to use. Great value. And if you keep it in the little cardboard box it came with, it should keep from getting the numbers scratched up or the rod broken.

Nice to have so I can quickly check my tires before a trip without relying on a shop for a simple inspection. Yes, I know about the wear indicators on my tires, but if it's down to those, I wouldn't need to measure. lol.

CT Car Guy: The first set of tire tread gauges had one perfect gauge and one defective gauge (the probe was able to move within the colored depth gauge piece instead of being tightly fixed creating a repeatable and accurate zero reading). I wrote to the vendor who responded within 24 hrs and after understanding what was wrong with the defective one, authorized the replacement shipment of a new set. The replacement units were both perfect. The gauge is easy to use and easy to read accurately (+/- 1/64" since the colored part is marked at every 1/32"). Very pleased with the purchase and delighted with the customer support!

RC: I researched quite a few of these tread depth gauges. Just about all of them had a lot of negative feedback from cheap, can not read, not accurate, function failure, and there are different readings between the two gauges. I purchased this pack of two because of the price and I thought they were gonna be just as good as any. I have nothing negative to say. They are perfect. They are accurate. They operate as expected. I think the complainers are people who are difficult to please or uneducated in the correct operation of this simple tool.

Client d'Amazon: Recu emballage ok et avant la date fixé, produit trés petit, heureusement qu'il y a des couleur pour controle rapide, l'écriture est trop petite.
Seul bon point pour un usage ponctuel, il n'y a pas de pile, donc toujours opérationnel. il me reste a vérifier auprés d'un produit professionnel s'il les graduations sont bonne selon les normes.
Longueur totale 8 cm, et la prtie coulissante, ben c'est simple on dirait un crayon HB sans la gomme.
