Amazon Customer: I’m a big fan of music but this book was just ok. Let’s say I could put it down anytime. It’s basically in one sentence “ i did this drug and then slept with this guy” that’s pretty much the book. What I did like was the bands I’d never heard of that I looked up on YouTube

Angelique X Stacy: Wish is was longer and had pictures!
Was a fun romp through the 1960's from a muse and Artist.who never failed to inspire folks to follow their bliss. Wish she wasn't so hard on her self worth and size! After reading all of Miss Pamela's books ,it was lovely to read the mysterious Miss Mercy's book. If only her ex hadn't burn't her journals it could be longer! She even adds a "trigger warning" on the hard parts. Honest , not jaded work.

Stuart D Brumbaugh: As someone who peripherally was part of the same scene Mercy was, at the same time, I truly enjoyed this visit with her. The book captures her essence...including her painful past, the strength, intelligence and courage she had, and the impact she effected on others in her sphere. It is not always a pretty picture, but neither was life in Hollywood and Laurel Canyon during that time. Mercy left a mark on the music scene and anyone who met her could not forget her, as was true with most of the GTOs. Georganne Brumbaugh

marin gilabert: Loved it! Great to read after, “I’m with the band” to show another experience from another member of the same group of women in the 60s.

Lynn: What a fantastic lady. She had so much get up and go despite terrible things happening to her. She owned up to her mistakes, she was warm-hearted, understanding woman. RIP Miss Mercy

Rebecca L. Mcdonald: I started this book yesterday and finished it last night, what a read, Miss Mercy was a rock n roll survivor. I spent half the time In disbelief of what all she went thru.

Anne Raso: I have the Kindle version of this book and listened to all its six hours in one afternoon. This book lives up to its hype as being the almost unbelievable tell all of the most outrageous of The GTO’s. I plan on listening to it again today! Miss Mercy was a fascinating person who was as much of an LA legend as the Whisky A Go Go in my opinion! She spent a lot of time with both rock and soul legends and was a complex individual with a troubled childhood and complex romantic relationships. What made her special besides being involved in some of the great West Coast rock moments of the late 60s and 1970s (like being at Altamont, on the set of Hendrix’s Rainbow Bridge and at the recording of “Wild Horses” by The Flying Burrito Brothers) is that she was always her painfully honest self! She had flash, sass and fascinatingly enough was a chameleon who managed to look entirely different in each photo taken over a 50-plus year period. She was a style icon who helped mold the original shock rock look of Alice Cooper and even influenced Paul Stanley’s stage makeup! After the GTO’s broke up, Miss M managed to be a force in both the LA punk and rockabilly scenes—but I suggest...
