DCH: No surprises. I ordered the largest one available but I would have liked a larger one. My unit is 42 inches by 34 inches. The 36 x 36 cover does not cover the open corners of the top of my unit but it will be adequate.

A.P.N: Lots of leaves, branches and pinecones surround the air conditioning unit. It use to be a pain to clean in the spring before they it could be used. This cover prevents at least 90% of the debris falling in.

mbudwick: I live in the north east of the USA. You get your share of warm weather, rainy weather, and the snow. This is perfect for winter when the condensers are not in use. Keeps the snow and ice from accumulating on top. You dont necessarily want a full cover, because then you are just creating a nice little home for critters to stay out of the elements. Then they will start doing their own style of decorating. They easily connect on with four point bungee chord system on top of all our condensers. We have six, and there a different sizes bases on the zones. I believe I ordered two different sizes across all of them, but we got all one size, and they fit on all condensers in either case. This is the first season with them, so I cant speak on durability, but given how they appear, they should last at the minimum 5 or 6 seasons easily for the cost. As long as they are not disturbed until the weather warms up a bit more than freezing.

BirdoBirdo: It's a little tricky to get the bungee cords through the vents and it may take a couple of times to get the tension correct so make sure you tape the plastic protectors on the hooks in place or you'll lose them inside the unit. Otherwise the installation is straight forward.
