It's not a blanket by any stretch and is more like a cheaply made tent material....that needs to be hand washed, likely because the stitching won't hold in a regular cycle. I'm sure it will do the job, but for the price it's not worth it at all. At maybe 1/4 of the price I *might* be inclined to call it a good buy...

Nature Anguiano: This stakes down at the beach great. I still laid on my towel. DRY sand shakes right off. In my experience, the wet sand did not. I just washed it in the washer on the setting HAND WASH. Then I dried it on the setting AIR DRY. It wasn’t a big deal. I would not just wipe it down like others are saying. I think it would be more of a mess. It folds super small….easy and quick. That was the best part. If I purchased this again I would want the largest size.

stefneestefnee: I bought this to use at the beach because I hate how sand tends to stick to all my beach towels (even my favorite micro fiber ones!!). Thought maybe during covid if I went camping, this would be a good alternative to sitting on the dirt as well. Don’t need padding since I don’t care about hard ground surfaces - I just don’t like sitting on the bare ground with my clothes. I thought I’d only use this every once in a while for specific beach/camping events.

Turns out I’m wrong and this is WAY more useful than I thought it’d be! (Don’t know why I didn’t think about this before!) my dog loves playing on the grass but I hate standing out there waiting for her because I don’t want to sit on the same grass she (and other dogs) pee on. I’m also pretty allergic to grass so sitting on it is not fun. Pulling out a chair seems odd too. Then I realized - THIS SHEET/BLANKET IS PERFECT FOR HOME OR THE PARK!! I now use it almost daily outside with my dog to avoid having to sit directly on the grass. So I’m able to work and watch her outside without issue. Or just sit and watch her play at the park.

Ashley: First off, this is incredibly small packaging. Wasn’t even sure I bought the right thing at first. But it opens up and can fit 2-3 adults comfortably.
At the beach, on a windy day, it can be a bit difficult to get the stakes to get in and stay in (since they’re just plastic), but got them to hold it down - mostly with the help of the sand pockets. The material is VERY light.
I would say the sand doesn’t come off as easily as advertised. Honestly, thought this was an ACTUAL blanket and had the special sand-wicking ability as I’ve seen on several indiegogo sites in the last couple years. This is much more like tent/hammock parachute material. So it definitely comes off more than blankets or towels, but still sticks a bit.
The bag is very small and can be difficult to get the tarp back into the attached bag. CAN do so without folding it up all properly though (then it’s just difficult to get the stakes in as well). Can be just very difficult to fold it up if it’s windy out.
Like that the bag is attached to it. There IS a zipper pouch that can be used, but since it’s where the “sand pockets” are, haven’t used it.
