HIFI GUY: Running my onkyo rz820 preouts to this unit. Great for music, has a better sound then an avr for such use. Drives my power hungry Rtia9's pretty decent.
READ THE MANUAL, as it has some useful info about alot of features, such as the 12v triggers and auto turn off/on.
Use line 2, not line 1 as your primary. Thats the only thing that puzzled me about the unit. Make the appropriate adjustments on rear panel, (master levels/voltage switch/and auto on-off.
Its black, not grey, looks good, sounds good.
Compares to my Emotiva and Parasound amps which are more then double the price, albeit the parasound has a better distortion rating.
Absolutely fantastic price for such a high fidelity sounding unit.
Happy with purchase, time will tell reliability!

Chris: I have the amp 300 connected to a set of polk monitor 70 and it has much more power available than they can handle. I have pushed it hard several times with no noticeable distortion. The one issue that I ran into was while watching TV the output would cut out and go into what appeared to be a standby modeif the signal level dropped for more than a second. After contacting osd they suggested I change the input from input 1 to input 2 and corrected the issue completely. I am very satisfied with the amp and support that I received. I am ordering a second amp as I just upgraded my polks to a set of Bic that can take much more power so I'm looking at bridging 2 of these to my fronts mostly for music I don't think it's needed for home theater use.

Brian: Awsome! Running 2 of these bridged for left and right fronts in a 7 channel surround setup. They are in their 3rd year, and they run great and sound perfect. Auto on and off works every time, they have more power than I will ever use. They don't even work hard and every component of the tower speaker has more juice than they can ever use. If you know anything about electromotive force, then you will know that 200 amps of current per speaker is plenty. Some people are wary of bridging this kind of amp as it doubles the distortion, but these are very clean. I listen to FLAC files now and these do not add any noticeable noise.

Gary: Amp does everything one could ask for at this price range. Music is full and rich sounding. I had purchased the AMP 200 but it did not last more than a week. I exchanged for the AMP 300 and could not be happier. Amazon paid for the return shipping as well. VERY satisfied with my buying experience and the product.

Cathy D. Schouten: I bought this amplifier for my workshop, I was looking for something used and couldn't find anything suitable in decent condition. I was not sure what to expect in terms of sound quality based on one of the other reviews, but I am very impressed at how clean this amp sounds at all volume levels. I am powering an old pair of Polk Monitor 10's and am just chuffed with the sound quality, no matter what genre of music I am playing. Plenty of power and no distortion. I am playing either directly from my Android phone, or from a PC - I did notice clicking between tracks but only when I play from itunes. Streaming internet radio, Media player, and CD's are very clean and no clicking. I tried my old Pioneer turntable to see how it would sound, I got some buzzing but that was caused by the power supply on the phono preamp. Its not a filter, its an amplifier and it amplifies very well.
I like the features (auto standby, auto switching priority for the inputs, master volume pots in the back) and it seems to be very well built. Shipping was quick and the unit arrived with no damage - I am very pleased with my purchase

1fstfreride: I professionally install home audio and a/v. I am always looking for something that meets the need without the big name or big dollar cost. This amp 300 is the perfect example. It powers up a great many speakers, it has all the adjustments that make it easy to use and enjoyable for my clients. Usually, I can just dial this in and my clients utilize their apps on their cell phones or iPads for control of their systems and they never even mention this piece of equipment - until I remove it from their system and have them hear their speakers without this amplification - then they realize just how important it is to have power driving the speakers they have invested in. I think this is one of the most under-rated amps I advise my clients to buy.

Jay D.: I have an older pair of Sony MF-600H floor-standing speakers. They're not outstanding speakers, but they're big (two 8" drivers in each cabinet, a 4" midrange and a 2" dome tweeter) and they're rated for 175w each. I had been driving them for years with your average BestBuy Sony receiver that claimed to crank out 100w per channel (in reality it's probably closer to 35w). Altho the speakers would get loud, they sounded hollow and tinny. Recently, I decided to integrate these stacks into my home "studio" where I practice DJing. I knew that these speakers had been under-powered for years, but trying to DJ on them made that point too painfully obvious. So I decided to take a gamble on this amp, and I'm very glad that I did.
I'm running my Traktor S4 (integrated 24 bit sound card and DJ controller) directly into the line-level input on this amp (no receiver or preamp), and then 16 gage speaker wire with banana plugs to the Sony MF-600H stacks in stereo. So this is about as simple a system as you could imagine, which is what I was going for. I also have the amp on a power conditioner, altho even without it I hear no noise whatsoever.
The sound is extremely impressive....

Logan: Before I review the Amp, let me tell you what was hooked up, where it was, etc.:
Input 1: Onkyo HT-RC180
Input 2: Pro-Ject Tube Box SE II w/ a Pro-Ject RPM Genie 1.3
Speakers: Sonus Faber Toy Towers (8 ohm)
Room: Bedroom, 11x13 (so didn't have to push it all the way)
Now, what drove me to buy this amp is the... well... lack of the Onkyo to present a good, clean, and loud audio source to my speakers (let alone, proper sound stage, or a good phono hook-up). Don't get me wrong, the Onkyo is a good starter, low-end receiver for the budget conscious, but it is not really a stellar offering as far as what else is out there (see Pioneer Elite, Marantz, Arcam, Dennon, etc). At first look, the amp is almost as pictured... good looking, solidly built, and it has a nice heft too it, but the more I looked at it, the more the power meters came off as being cheap and more like an after-thought. I bring this up, because if you are anything like me, the more you look at the amplifier, the more you will think, "Why were the power meters even put on the unit?" I digress... I can get past that slight detail, but I felt like it was worth pointing out if the power meters were...

TommyJam: Amp has good sound and looks great. It does seem to lack in power getting distorted at higher volumes. For the price, it pretty decent.
