aussie gypsy: The flavor is good but dried apricot should be a little dryer then it would have a richer flavor. I'm used to Australian dried apricots and this flavor does not compare.

Spencer: Taste: These are indeed dried apricots. I was looking for apricots, and I sure as heck got em.
Packaging: The package had to be cut open with scissors, so it isn't independently re-sealable. As a dried fruit, not a terrible issue, but worth bearing in mind.
Value: I did see another wholesaler advertising 5lb for $16, but it was off a random site I'd never heard of with an old-enough looking interface that I didn't feel comfortable signing up for and giving my card information to. This was next-best price I found.
Worth noting: I bought these because I'd gotten a small container from Wegmans that I went through real quickly and thought "Hmm, wonder if I can get larger amounts, since I don't feel bad about snacking on these, since they're a fruit." I have 100% got what I asked for with this, however... something about these ones is giving me the unholiest of gas. Like... rotten eggs stuck in your digestive system for a week sort of bad. Even just a few is enough to make it that putting my head under the covers at night akin to entering a war zone. I don't know why the Wegmans ones didn't have this effect, but I've about 4 of the 5 lbs left to go in the bag, and I don't know...

Moonglow ColorKid: I was somewhat hesitant after reading some of the reviews that stated the bag of apricots had arrived open or made someone ill, but I'm pleasantly satisfied with my purchase for sure. The bag was totally sealed, the apricots were soft and flavorful, and they arrived quickly. I used these apricots to make baby food for my daughter and WHOA it yielded so much food! Plain apricot puree was one of my favorites as a kiddo but it's become a lot harder to find over the years, so I decided to make my own.

To make the baby food, I ran hot water into a large bowl and soaked 1 lb of apricots overnight, stirring two or three times when I got up for MOTN feedings. I added the apricots to a steam basket and poured the soaking water into the pot, steamed the apricots for about 15-20 minutes, and then poured the 'cots and some of the soaking water into my Vitamix. Pureed for 25 seconds and voila! The absolute BEST apricot baby food I have ever tasted! My daughter is gonna have to fight me for it!
