NightOwl Mama: I wanted to give this 5 stars but it’s not there yet. Delicious bread substitute but you have to toast it. If you don’t it tastes a bit like cardboard and then texture is a bit off-putting. Once toasted with something on it, it’s great.

Sundragon: So this was bought by accident since my regular bread was not in stock. I toasted two slices, and buttered. First bit, felt like I had bit into shards of glass or rocks. I spit it out for fear something was wrong. The taste was quite awful but I have to admit I'm not gluten free so this was not what I'd call "bread". Luckily WF will allow me to get a refund. I've never had this with other breads. Will never be buying from this company again - Especially for this price.

Corco: I eat this bread regularly during the week, toasted with peanut butter. I very much appreciate the existence of this bread. If you are expecting the soft, inviting bread of your pimiento cheese sandwich dreams, then this is not the bread for you. But if you appreciate it as an organic, gluten-free bread made with sprouted quinoa, millet, and chia seeds, then you shouldn't be disappointed. For its purpose, it's five stars in my book. But, take note, it is absolutely, unconditionally imperative that you toast this bread.

Sarah S.Sarah S.:
*Update: after using this bread for several months, I have begun to notice a disappointing pattern. Something about the way the bread is packaged or maybe what happens when it thaws makes it impossible to pull a piece of bread out of the package without breaking off one or both corners. I kept hoping it was a fluke, but now after at least 6 loaves doing the exact same thing, I’m afraid it is the nature of the bread. I end up only getting about half a piece of usable bread, which at $10 a loaf means I’m spending way too much on this bread and can’t justify the splurge anymore. So sad! You can see how excited I was in my original review, haha! The great GF bread search continues...
Original Review: I love Food For Life's Ezekiel bread, but always felt guilty that my partner couldn't enjoy it because of his gluten sensitivity. This has been the answer to our bread prayers! It's thick, toasts perfectly, doesn't get crumbly, and best of all it's vegan. We make grilled cheeses with this bread and Miyokos butter and cheese and it's a dream come true. Worth every penny.
