Organic Red Quinoa in Bulk - CEREAUSLY Grown for Maximum Nutrition & Flavor

bjski: I am unable to find red quinoa in the small town where I live so was delighted to find it here for a good price. It is a large quantity but I use it frequently and I store the excess in quart jars.

S. KONG: I bought the 10 lbs bag because of the much cheaper price offered. Actually I bought a 4lb ($20.00) of the same brand CEREAUSLY first that I was OK with taste and red quinoa not bother me. So I bought the 10 lbs. that was offering and in good faith that it costs so much cheaper, $34.00 for 10 lbs.

It came in a big thick rugged paper bag. Not sure it's the package problem or quinoa itself. It looked fine first, tasted normal when I bought them and pulled some and cooked it myself... until recently I find some flour bugs crawling on my kitchen wall in the area where I put the 10 lbs. bag.
After some investigation, I find some worn-liked white bugs in the 10 lbs bag. It's hard to tell if they were already there or it happened the bugs were developed after I opened the bag. I put the bag in a big plastic container in the corner, away from all windows so it should be pretty dry at all time.

The 4 lbs bag I bought first was packed in a sealed plastic bag while this 10lbs. was packed in a thick, rugged paper bag. It's hard to see because those bugs were very very small. I actually googled what kind of bugs and if they are harmful to eat. You can't tell unless you put the...

IBorderCollie: This was my first purchase of Cereausly red quinoa and will not be my last. It arrived in an undamaged, heavy-duty, paper bag appropriate for a 25-lb. quantity. I plan to purchase this quantity again when I finish this bag.

I much prefer the nuttier texture and heartier taste of the red quinoa to the white, which I had consumed before buying the red. I plan to use it in salads and to mix it with the white as a substitute for a starchy dish (e.g., brown rice).

A very small proportion of white quinoa seeds are mixed with the red, but I have not found the proportion objectionable as have some other reviewers. I am unable to detect the texture or taste of the white seeds. Moreover, while I might be able to find pure red in small packages, I would not wish to pay the difference in price per pound for it, as I plan to consume a lot of red quinoa.

For convenience, I emptied the bag into 8 2-qt. mason jars (the equivalent of about 4 gal. by volume). (Others might use 4 1-gal. plastic containers or large plastic bins, but I prefer to store my foods (seeds, fresh greens, or cooked leftovers) in glass containers.) Lloyd: THIS is the best quinoa period everybody should understand that you must rinse this stuff throughly can’t explain how important this is. This is a great indication it’s organic and not processed and for me very important. So cook just like rice two cups of water one of quinoa stir early and leave it be,you’ll know when it’s done by the little curls, remove from heat and allow 15mins for moisture to be absorbed.
The texture is like nothing else nutty crunchy moist all at the same time. Highest protein content of all the grains.

runningdreamer: I have been eating quinoa 5+ times a week for the last several years. Since the pandemic, it has been hard to find red quinoa in my shopping area. I was very pleased to find this brand. This is the second time I have purchased from this seller. It is an excellent product. I like the red quinoa much better than the white. It has a nuttier flavor and holds up when added to soups and stir-fries. I hope this seller continues to offer this product.
