EveryDay Reviews Inc.: I use this product as a dietary supplement (for over 1 year now), along with vitamin C and glucoseamine as a way to maintain my joint health during periods of high volume of exercise. In my place of work we walk on concrete with steel toe boots. On average, I walk anywhere between 10k-30k steps. Then I go home where I try to cycle/run/ lift weights at least 4-5 times a week. Using gelatin as well as the other previously mentioned supplements, complementing a healthy diet has kept my joints in good shape, despite all the abuse I put them through.
An efficient way to consume it is to add it into a protein shake. Be careful though. Add it to the room temperature water FIRST, then give it a rigorous shake, before adding the protein powder. It tends to not dissolve if you put it in at the same time as the protein powder. Additionally, it will take you a couple times to get the right amount in for it to fully dissolve and not leave behind these sand size gelatin pieces. It's not a big deal to me, but a friend that tried it, said he did not like the texture when it's mixed like that. It usually happens when you put too much in. 1 cup water mixed with 4 scoops electrolyte powder (depending on what you're using)
1 large tablespoon of lemon juice mixed in
3 scoops of this gelatin scattered on top, left to bloom.
While its blooming, boil 3 more cups of water. Once boiled, mixed in well. Throw in the fridge and it's good to go in 2-3 hours! Super refreshing.
