Kevin Burtch: I don't know why I didn't try this earlier. My mom used to use Knox gelatin to make deserts when I was a kid.
Half a decade ago, Jello had a "Simply Good" product (with all natural flavors) they apparently were only test marketing (as it vanished from the shelves within a year), and it was great, with the mandarin orange flavor being one of my favorites.
I looked around for recipes for DIY orange gelatin using Knox and found a few variations. I made one of the simplest and added a bit of orange zest and it was incredible, easily better than the (no longer made) Jello product! I highly recommend trying this.

Retro Knight Gaming: Wife says: I use this unflavored gelatin to add to packaged gelatin to reduce the sugar content of each serving and to add more collagen to my jello snacks. I use a silicone mold to make 5 oz servings of jello and pop them in a container in my fridge and snack on them thru out the week.

If you use too much it will have a lingering Beef aroma, but works in a pinch. I have reordered about 3 times at least.

Carol Allen: I love this stuff and will probably use it for the rest of my life! I bought this for my nails, they would always break down in the nail bed and was painful. I no longer have that problem. I was having hip pain that was getting so bad I could barely get in and out of my car! I live in a retirement community and most of my neighbors are using walkers and canes to get around, that was not for me. After using the 1st canister I noticed my hip didn't hurt as much. By the time I finished the 2nd canister the pain disappeared and has not returned! So, all you baby boomers out there give it a try.

HonestConsumer: I've had hand pain for years due to genetics and typing for 45 years. My Mom's geriatric doctor suggested Knox Gelatin for her knee pain. With her various balance issues, she didn't like having to stand in 1 place in order to mix it in water so she gave it to me to try for my hand pain. I was shocked to say the least. Why didn't my rheumatologist suggest this stuff? My prescription pain medicine doesn't do as good a job in controlling pain in my hands as this stuff. I have told several friends about Knox Gelatin now. As far as how much, I don't measure it. I just use a small spoon and stir about 2-3 spoonfuls per cold icy drink, and I drink about 3 x day of 30 oz Yeti tumblers. So yeah, it's a lot, but man it's worth it. I saw results in 24 hours. The most important thing to know about Knox Gelatin is that it leaves little bits in your drink - sort of like if you were to drink lemonade that has little bits floating in it. There is no flavor and the little bits don't bother me at all. Just don't put it in hot tea like I did at first. That did not work at all. I had to throw the hot tea out.
