carla: I really enjoy this product. Matter of fact I prefer it to the commercial oatmeal you buy in the stores. The only thing is is you have to cook it a lot longer because they don't get soft as quick as the oatmeal oats do. But add a little cinnamon in there. Maybe poached egg on top and it is scrumptious.

Mary A. Miller: Overall Bob's Red Mill is one of the best products on the market for grains, especially if you have Celiac's or suggested Celiac's. Groats are getting harder to find in local markets for some crazy idea that I can't fathom. I honestly think we are finding our groceries shrinking in options instead of being more diverse in it's options. This should be a no-brainer. This is an excellent overall product, I would recommend toasting the groats before using if you can for enhanced flavors. It can be use 1-1 in place for making flour if you are intended to replace wheat flour. For a Kasha grain, toast on the stove without oil, move constantly on medium heat. Once toasted, you can add oil, onions, mushrooms, etc to make a stir fry and it's excellent. It can also replace oatmeal in the morning as well as a heated grain. Love it as Kasha, and for making flour.
