mksmks: These alfalfa sprouts are delicious, easy to grow and so much cheaper than what they sell at the market. This was just 1 tablespoon of sprouts. I don’t have a green thumb and I was successful.

Stephanie Umlor: I’ve been missing my sprouts for sandwiches. I prefer over lettuce because of the nutrition and flavor. Now I grow 2 jars each week, one for me and one for my mom. It seriously takes 5 days. And only one tablespoon per jar so much better value than buying.

Dan W. Mckay: I added 2 tablespoons of these alfa alfa seeds to the jar, soaked them overnight and drained and rinsed them the next morning. They got a rinse twice a day after that and had begun to sprout by the end of the second day. The amount of seeds that did not sprout was very small and the two table spoons full might have been a little more than the jar could hold. Great seeds.

Deborah WeaverDeborah Weaver: I heard about how nutritious sprouts are and how good they are for detoxing on a recent Mike Adams episode (The Health Ranger) and ordered these seeds the next day. I also ordered the wide mouth canning jars with strainers I wanted to grow them in, and they all came a few days later.
The directions on the package are easy to follow. I put one teaspoon of seeds in each jar. I soaked the seeds for about five or six hours, and then rinsed the sprouts every three to six hours after that. They sprouted within two to three days.
It was a bit overwhelming having to rinse the sprouts so often in the middle of the night - I was literally carrying the jars upstairs every night! However, after a few nights of this, I realized I could skip the middle of the night rinse by wrapping the jars in a plastic bag every night which holds the water in and keeps the sprouts moist, so they don't dry out! This made it feel less of a chore, and now it is just a commitment to rinse them every couple of hours when I am in the kitchen. This takes only about a minute or two and has become part of my normal routine already.
This picture was taken exactly one week from the day that I...
