I used it to get rid of two oak tree stumps, each about 12” in diameter, that had been cut down 8 months ago. The stumps were sticking up about 3” above grade. This saw powered through the very dense end grain of the live oaks like a champ. I basically made many many kerfs in a tight checkerboard pattern….this kept the chain from hitting the soil. The saw has some weight to it so you don’t have to use a lot of muscle. Fabulous tool.

MasterStylist: The chain mechanism is great and easy to install the chain and tighten it. it has enough cutting power to cut hard tree root

Dave White: Purchased this to take down a tree that was about 90" diameter, guessing about 25" thick. This performed very well! I'm comparing this to a $300 gas powered chain saw.
The cut is fantastice, pulls out the wood in chips like mad. It has plenty of power. Does get bogged down in the middle of a large bough, but I'd expect that. Sort of like an electric saw going through a thick piece of preassure treated. If you keep a spike handy and pound it in once you cut down a bit, much easier.
Gas consumption- None! Had on the back of 150' of heavy duty extension cord. Cords do get in the way, but force you to be extra clean which you should be doing anyhow.
Oil use wasn't excessive, put in a half cup or so every now and then.
The chain did come off a bit more than gas, maybe because it uses manual rachets instead of bolts. I found it much easier and very easy to put the chain back on. No Wrenches!
Overall, if you have a plug handy, go with this. A bargain at under $100 when I bought it.

Amazon Customer: This Oregon chainsaw works better than expected for a corded chainsaw. Cuts easily through large branch and is very quiet. Only small negative is that it look longer than the 2 minutes advertised to prime the chain with oil and it was quite noisy without the chain on. I would recommend this product.

Greg S.: I've got several gas chainsaws that have been both good and headaches. I wanted to give chainsaw carving a try, but didn't relish the work of fueling and starting gas saws, and then breathing in the exhaust & wearing earmuffs for "fun". At $80, this thing is impressive. Easy to assemble and the chain comes razor sharp, making impressive chips. A positive displacement bar oil pump works flawlessly and the oil reservoir is huge. I torture tested it on many oak limbs about 10-12" in diameter and it blew through them. The bar dogs bite positively and the saw barely groans when prying through the wood. I opted for this in lieu of the "self-sharpening" model because I'm too cheap to buy the self sharpening chains, pretty handy and know how to sharpen a chain sharper than that contraption could do. I did have to resharpen it once during the torture test because the wood I was testing was on the ground and I hit a few rocks. 5 swipes with the file and it was blowing wood chips like new.

Frederick: My 35 year old electric chainsaw was at another property hours away so I bought this saw to do some heavy pruning on several 100 year old spruce trees. There is a world of difference with this new saw. The first thing I noticed was the chain brake - the chain stops instantly when the trigger is released even through the motor coasts to a stop. The anti-kickback hand-guard both stops the motor and activates the chain brake. The chain oiler actually works and wonder of wonders it doesn't leak oil all over the ground or floor when the chainsaw is idle. The only caveat is the oiler has to be primed when first setting up the saw by filling the tank with chain oil and running the saw without the bar and chain for a couple minutes.
The saw has a tool-less chain tensioner that is very easy to use and makes keeping the chain properly tensioned a snap.
The saw is shipped without the bar and chain installed but it was easy to assemble and set up. It seems very well made. It is powerful and easy to maneuver. I'm very satisfied with it.

AnonAnon: This is my first electric chainsaw, and it's so good, I'm actually going to review it (I never do these).
All the rest of my saws are gas powered Stihls. I was looking for something I can run indoors, and around the house/shop that wouldn't make so much noise (still able to hear the radio with this thing running) so I don't need to wear my forestry helmet, and no two-stroke stink. This saw has completely exceeded my expectations. I bucked and split about a cord and a half into 24" lengths for our OWB in under 4hrs working at a comfortable pace for a Saturday. You can bury this saw in a 12" piece of maple and no matter how hard you pull, you can't stall this saw. It's not as fast as my Stihl 260, but it's half the price to power this thing and I don't have to breathe in the fumes. Don't even bother shopping around.. you can't beat this saw at this price. After I submit this review I'm going to buy a second one as a present for a friend who recently went out of his way to help me out. He'll get lots of use out of one of these around his sawmill.

Thomas Leibold: I probably should admit right from the start that this wasn't the chainsaw I had wanted to buy.
When it comes to tools I tend to evaluate how likely I'm to keep using it and if so I'm happy to pay a premium for a good quality tool that will last me a long time. If it is just for a single project or short term usage I rather look for something cheap to buy and I'm only checking reviews to see whether or not it will work for the intended purpose and what (if any) risks it poses to me or any property I'm using it on.
This chainsaw doesn't fit into either the top quality (Stihl) or the bargain basement category. I had already determined that I would probably never need this chainsaw again. I only needed it for some overgrown weeds that resisted even a foot-long sawz-all blade. I was happy to discover a chainsaw at the big box stores that was getting reasonably good reviews (WEN 4017) and was even cheaper then the model offered by everybody's bargain tool supplier HF. However when I tried to buy it, nobody had it in stock. Even Amazon couldn't provide a firm delivery date for that chainsaw. However Amazon, being ever so helpful, promptly alerted me to a special offer for...

The Amazon Customer: It's a bit difficult to set up, but once you get it... holy. cow. This saw is fantastic. Lots of power to cut. It's a great yard saw. No more pull starting my stihl for smaller (and lets face it, they're ALL smaller) property jobs.
Things to know: Read the assembly instructions thoroughly. Wear gloves when assembling (the blade is sharp!). Get chain saw oil, because it doesn't come with it. Take your time getting it set up.
Once you've done that, you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner.
Seriouusly.
