Orbit 58993 Black 7-Pattern Watering Nozzle with Thumb Control

L Ruiz: this is second one I have bought others break before much use and tend to leak at the hose.

Carol Kelly: We were delighted when we first received this watering nozzle, the quality of design and construction was clear to see/feel (it is pleasingly heavy). However, it will not fit tightly onto our hose fitting, so it leaks badly and I ended up rather wet! We live in New Zealand, and obviously hose fittings are slightly different here, even though they are the same diameter size. Now we have to find a washer or something that can make the fit tighter.
Keeping our fingers crossed that we can find a solution! If anyone has any good ideas please let me know.

***UPDATE *** to my original comments, my husband found the perfect fitting in our local Mitre 10 store and it now fits perfectly. We are so pleased with this 'Rolls Royce' watering nozzle that we are buying more so each of our hoses have one. As hoped, the mister is extremely useful for little seedlings in the glasshouse.

kphiker: I am very happy with this purchase. I use the shower setting the most, then center, and occasionally jet. The on-off mechanism works smoothly although I'm not sure of the purpose of the curved guard feature since I don't have anything to guard against. Regardless, this item is perfect and I hope orbit keeps producing a quality product.

enigma-2: Wife has arthritis in hands and this unit is the easiest for her to use. Really like the various settings for different flow patterns. Prefer to set the water pattern firse then anount of flow. And remembers setting when next use.

Lasts about 3 years before getting too difficult to turn on (thumb operated control gets stiff. O Rings probably swell up internally. Unit still worked, but difficult to use). Never leaked like other sprayers.

Tom C: Bought this for dad's fathers day gift. He really liked it. I had used his old fire hose style sprayer before and I wasn't very impressed by it. After some research, reddit recommended this one. I can definitely see why. I used it first to wash the cars and I loved the stream function for that. Jet seemed pretty powerful, it was shooting water right back in my face from the pressure. Dad and I then brought it into the back yard and we found that the Mist function was INCREDIBLE! He had some pretty weak flower petals get damaged from the old nozzle but this misting setting is so good they barely moved. He likes to mist all his plants at the sun's apex on a hot day to provide a little water shield. I really love the fire hose style where you use your thumb to turn it on and off. The older one had one that was really large and every time I threw it down I ran the risk of turning the stream on and probably shooting myself haha. The only complaint is when I toss the nozzle down it usually lands on the end first and that can change the current setting a bit. Sometimes it'll be halfway between both settings so you have to readjust them before spraying again. Minor complaint but that...

Phyllis Wright: Love this and got one for my husband to use in the front. I love that there are multi patterns as all plants don’t need just a full water stream . Great to have the mist setting for seedlings.

Lois G: Ive used a lot of hose end sprayers in my time, and this one is the absolute best. doesn't leak, has lots of settings from fine mist to jet, you don' t have to squeeze it or keep turning to adjust. ... just click the wheel to to the right setting roll it on as far as you need and water away. Lots of control for changing volume... Seems solid and well made, and should last well, ive had the longer wand version for several years and they are still fine.

Lindsay M. Brown: I had one of these for years and recently ordered more. My mother has arthritic hands and even she can use these. Beautifully made, the lever action feels well made and smooth, there's no leaking and the whole thing feels really sturdy and a joy to use. Don't buy anything else - others don't work nearly as well nor do they last as long.

Sandy Hicks: I have severe arthritis in my hands and was unable to squeeze trigger type nozzles. This nozzle is amazing as it is so easy to use with just a slide of the thumb and durable as it has lasted longer than most others that I have owned. I just bought a second one for the front yard.
